Job Summary<\/p>\n
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of the steel factory, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with tax and regulatory standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role plays a key part in maintaining fiscal integrity and optimizing resource utilization across departments<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable\/receivable, payroll, and general ledger
\nPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
\nMonitor and manage factory budgets, forecasts, and cost control initiatives
\nEnsure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies
\nCoordinate and support internal and external audits
\nAnalyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements
\nSupervise and mentor junior accounting staff
\nCollaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align financial planning with operational goals
\nMaintain accurate records of inventory, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules<\/p>\n

About You<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
\nMinimum 5\u20137 years of accounting experience, preferably in Steel manufacturing or industrial sectors
\nStrong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
\nProficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree accounting systems)
\nAdvanced Excel skills and financial modeling capabilities
\nKnowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial compliance standards
\nStrong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
