The Opportunity
\nThe purpose of the position is to ensure that all financial transactions of the WAA Activities will be captured in the system before the SAP closing in each month; and facilitate training and workshop payments to the participants. Accordingly, the position holder is responsible for coordinating and facilitating all EHF training and workshop payments in line with the donor and PIE compliance policy. The finance assistant is closely working with the EHF finance and operations lead and the program area finance department. He\/she works with trustworthiness and integrity and has a clear commitment to the Plan\u2019s core values and humanitarian principles. In addition, the finance assistant will support USAID EHF Borena IP team in handling GRN for the goods, materials, equipment and services procured at Borena and Addis Abeba level to smoothly facilitate issue and receiving notes and closely work with program area supply chain team to ensure integration and team work across function.

\nSafeguarding Children and Program Participants (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)<\/p>\n
Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International\u2019s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed per the appropriate procedures.
\nEnsures that all staff in the unit\/function\/department are properly inducted on and understand their role in upholding Plan International\u2019s safeguarding and GEI policies;
\nEnsures that Plan International\u2019s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Program Participants and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day-to-day work.
\nEnsures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International\u2019s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
A minimum of BA degree in Accounting\/Business Management & related fields.
\nMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
\nFemale candidate with desirable experience and qualification is highly encourage to apply
\nStrong conceptual, verbal, listening, reading, and written communication skills; in English, Afan Oromo & Amharic languages.
\nAbility to initiate and organize work while establishing priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment to meet deadlines with attention to detail;
\nAbility to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results;
\nAbility to manage multiple conflicting priorities;
\nAbility to be flexible and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels;
\nStrong office and organizational skills.
\nAbility to travel as required;
\nProficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
\nExperience working on grant funded activity<\/p>\n
Qualifications\/Experience Desirable:<\/p>\n
Strong negotiating skills.
\nGood interpersonal skills.
\nAble to work with minimum supervision
\nAdditional working experience from an international humanitarian and development organizations is a plus<\/p>\n
Languages Required<\/p>\n
Fluency in English and Amharic language is essential
