The Cashier is responsible for handling cash and other financial transactions related to the daily operations of the company. This includes receiving payments from customers, issuing receipts, reconciling cash balances, preparing daily cash reports, and ensuring accurate financial record keeping in line with company policies.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nTransaction Handling
\nReceive payments (cash, credit card, mobile payments) from customers for shipping, delivery, and courier services.
\nIssue official receipts and invoices for all transactions.
\nVerify the correctness of charges and change before finalizing transactions.
\n Cash & Financial Recordkeeping
\nMaintain accurate daily records of all cash transactions.
\nReconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
\nPrepare daily cash and sales reports for submission to the Finance Department.
\n Customer Service
\nRespond to customer inquiries regarding payments and charges.
\nResolve billing discrepancies in coordination with the Finance or Customer Service teams.
\nMaintain a friendly and professional attitude when dealing with customers.
\nCoordination with Departments
\nLiaise with Operations to verify service completion before payment collection.
\nCommunicate with Finance for deposit instructions, float management, and reconciliation.
\nWork with Sales\/Marketing for promotional pricing and discount applications.
\nCompliance & Security
\nEnsure all transactions comply with financial policies and internal controls.
\nSafeguard cash and report any suspicious activity or discrepancies immediately.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Education & Experience
\nDiploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting and Finance or related
\n1\u20132 years of cashier or accounting experience preferably in logistics company.
\nSkills & Competencies
\nStrong numerical and reconciliation skills.
\nProficient in POS systems and basic accounting software.
\nHigh level of integrity and attention to detail.
\nGood interpersonal and communication skills.
