To this end, the Nutrition, Environmental Health and Non-Communicable Disease Research Directorate is planning to recruit a data analyst or data manager on a contract basis.<br \/>\nThe work of the Data Analyst or data manger will be guided by a Senior researcher or project PI. He\/She will join EPHI to manage ENABLE project trial data, aggregate, and merge data sets for analysis as well as create new data sets of summary statistics for presentation and report.<br \/>\nThe \u201cEnabling environments for NCD risk reduction in Ethiopia\u201d (ENABLE) project is funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe (Grant agreement ID: 101137232). ENABLE aims to reduce the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Ethiopia by reducing the life-long prevalence of major NCD risk factors among pregnant women through multi-level actions to promote healthy diets, physical activity and reduce exposure to air pollution in a clean and supportive urban environment. The ENABLE project is dedicated to the implementation of pragmatic and effective interventions for promoting healthy diets, physical activity and reduce exposure to air pollution within a health-promoting urban environment for pregnant women and their families from the antenatal care entry point, as well as from the community. EPHI and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH), and the consortium is comprised of 9 more international and Ethiopian partners. From Ethiopia, Jimma University (JU), Haramaya University (HU) and Addis Continental Institute of Public Health (ACIPH), along with international partners from University of Oslo (UiO), Lund University (LU), Uppsala University (UU), Wageningen University (WU), Vital Strategies, and Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR)<br \/>\nThe work of the Data Analyst\/data manger will involve:<br \/>\nCoordinate the research data activities under senior research supervision<br \/>\nPrepare on data management plan, report and manuscript writing<br \/>\nTravel to field for data collection and supervision.<br \/>\nContributes to proposal development and proposals for institutional review board.<br \/>\nCoordinate field travels and required logistics.<br \/>\nPrepare weekly plan and report the same to the project focal.<br \/>\nMonitor whether the project\u2019s planned activities are going as scheduled or not.<br \/>\nParticipating in regular discussions with other project team members, project consultants and donors.<br \/>\nEngage in other relevant assignments assigned by project coordinators for the successful deliver of project output.<br \/>\nDaily follow of the real time data collection and give feedback to field data collectors and supervisors<br \/>\nDevelop analysis plan of trial<br \/>\nClean the collected dataset<br \/>\nDevelop data dictionary for collected dataset and develop metadata<br \/>\nDevelop syntax for analysis and draft dummy tables.<br \/>\nAnalyse data using statistical software such as STATA or R by applying the most appropriate and robust statistical methods and sampling weights;<br \/>\nConduct various statistical analysis that include:<br \/>\nCleaning data and methodically assessing its quality before analysis;<br \/>\nMerging data sets or creating new data sets for analysis;<br \/>\nCreating or deriving new variables from existing data sets;<br \/>\nAssessing the distribution of variables so that the most appropriate statistical tests are applied;<br \/>\nCreating, annotating and maintaining syntax files of analysis that record all changes made to variables and the statistical procedures applied so that they can be checked and repeated;<br \/>\nMethodically storing and cataloguing the syntax files, the output files and any history file of analysis to create a record of the analysis done;<br \/>\nCreating tables of results and statistical output;<br \/>\nCreating maps of the distribution of variables;<br \/>\nCreating graphs and figures to present data;<br \/>\nApplying best practices in data processing, management and analysis.<br \/>\nEngage in other activities as needed.<\/p>\n<p>Duration: 6-12 months with possible extension<br \/>\nSalary: As per the scale of the ministry of finance<\/p>\n<p>About You<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n<p>PhD or MSc in public health, biostatistics, Epidemiology<br \/>\neight years\u2019 experience for MSc holders; six years for PhD holder of work organising and analysing large datasets or clinical trial, ideally health or nutritional in origin, using statistical software.<\/p>\n<p>SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:<\/p>\n<p>Experience in using statistical software is required;
