\nPurpose of the Role
\nThe Head of Operations at DKT Ethiopia is tasked with overseeing the full spectrum of operational functions, which encompass supply chain management, procurement strategies, warehousing, logistics, and adherence to regulatory standards. This role ensures that operational frameworks, processes, and policies are meticulously aligned with the organization\u2019s strategic objectives while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance. Additionally, it emphasizes agility in responding to both programmatic demands and market dynamics, fostering an adaptive operational environment.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nOperational Strategy & Leadership<\/p>\n
Provide strategic direction for all operational areas, ensuring alignment with DKT\u2019s mission and objectives.
\nLead operational planning and budgeting processes in coordination with other departments.
\nDevelop and implement cost optimization and efficiency strategies.<\/p>\n
Supply Chain & Procurement Management<\/p>\n
Oversee procurement processes to ensure transparency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with legal and donor requirements.
\nEnsure a reliable supply chain for SRH products and other goods and services.
\nMaintain strong vendor relationships and performance monitoring systems.<\/p>\n
Warehousing, Logistics & Fleet Management<\/p>\n
Direct the Warehouse & Logistics Manager in ensuring accurate stock management, safe storage, and efficient product distribution.
\nOversee fleet operations for optimal utilization, safety, and cost control.
\nImplement systems to track, analyze, and improve logistical performance.<\/p>\n
Regulatory & Quality Compliance<\/p>\n
Supervise the Regulatory Affairs function to ensure all products meet Ethiopian and international standards.
\nOversee product registrations, licensing, and renewals.
\nMonitor quality control processes to maintain product integrity.<\/p>\n
People Management & Development<\/p>\n
Lead, mentor, and develop the operations management team.
\nSet and monitor KPIs for each operational unit.
\nFoster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
\nAt least 8 years of relevant experience, with 4 years in a senior management role.
\nStrong knowledge of procurement systems, supply chain best practices, and regulatory frameworks in Ethiopia.
\nDemonstrated expertise in crafting operational frameworks tailored for large-scale enterprises, optimizing processes, and enhancing overall efficiency.
\nStrong understanding of SAP systems (FI, CO, MM) and proficiency in SAP tools for data analysis, reporting, and process optimization. Experienced in implementing solutions to streamline operations and enhance business performance, with the ability to customize reports.
\nExperience in NGO, FMCG, or health product distribution sectors is an advantage.
\nProven track record in leading multi-functional teams and large-scale operations.<\/p>\n
