Job Summary :- The Veterinary Assistant will support veterinarians in providing medical care to animals by performing routine tasks and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for both animals and staff. The role involves assisting during examinations and treatments, preparing equipment and materials, monitoring animal health, and maintaining accurate records. will also provide compassionate handling of animals and communicate effectively with animal owners and the veterinary team.
\nMain Duties & Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Aid veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
\nDeliver fundamental nursing care to animals, encompassing feeding, grooming, and exercising.
\nDispense medications following veterinarian instructions.
\nMonitor and document animals\u2019 vital signs while under veterinary care.
\nClean and sanitize animal enclosures, examination rooms, and surgical tools.
\nManage inventory of supplies and medications.
\nAssist in restraining animals during procedures.
\nOffer assistance and solace to pet owners during challenging moments.
\nEducate animal attendant and vet technicians on proper animal welfare and nutrition.
\nSupport veterinarians or veterinary technicians with additional tasks as assigned.
\nCompassion and empathy towards animals and the company.
\nPhysical strength and stamina to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Qualification and Skills
\nEducation<\/p>\n
Diploma\/Level IV or BA Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or related field.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
Minimum of 5 year relevant work experience in animal care, veterinary clinic, or related environment.<\/p>\n
Skills <\/p>\n
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
\nKnowledge of animal behavior and basic animal care techniques.
\nBasic computer skills for record-keeping and data entry.
\nAbility to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
\nWillingness to continue learning and stay current on new developments in veterinary medicine.
\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.
