The Vice Principal is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the Principal in the overall management and strategic development of the school. The VP will oversee academic excellence, curriculum implementation (specifically Cambridge standards), staff development, student welfare, and operational efficiency, ensuring the school maintains high standards of education and complies with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) requirements.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nAcademic Leadership:<\/p>\n
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Cambridge curriculum across all levels.
\nEnsure teaching and assessment practices align with Cambridge standards and examination requirements.
\nMonitor and evaluate academic progress, ensuring high standards of student achievement.
\nSupport teachers with curriculum development, resource planning, and professional development.<\/p>\n
Student Welfare & Discipline:<\/p>\n
Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
\nOversee student behavior management and pastoral care programs.
\nEngage with parents on academic progress and student well-being.<\/p>\n
Staff Management & Development:<\/p>\n
Support recruitment, induction, and performance appraisal of teaching staff.
\nIdentify professional development needs and organize training aligned with Cambridge standards.
\nFoster a collaborative and motivated team culture.<\/p>\n
Operational Oversight:<\/p>\n
Assist in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
\nEnsure compliance with Cambridge assessment regulations and accreditation standards.
\nOversee school facilities and resources to support effective teaching and learning.<\/p>\n
Strategic Planning & Reporting:<\/p>\n
Contribute to the development of the school\u2019s strategic plan.
\nPrepare and present reports on academic performance, curriculum delivery, and school operations.
\nStay updated with Cambridge curriculum developments and international best practices.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Master\u2019s degree in Education or related field; UK\/International teaching qualification preferred.
\nProven leadership experience in a similar role within a Cambridge or comparable international school.
\nDeep understanding of Cambridge curriculum frameworks, assessment policies, and standards.
\nStrong knowledge of school management, curriculum development, and staff development.
\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
