This role will strengthen community-based organizations (CBOs), savings cooperatives (SACCOs), and youth centres to ensure sustainable service delivery and capacity building.<br \/>\nProject Implementation<\/p>\n<p>Provide technical support to ensure effective implementation of livelihood and youth empowerment activities according to the approved plan of action.<br \/>\nSupport households and youth to acquire skills, knowledge, and resources for entrepreneurship, employability, and income generation.<br \/>\nProvide targeted technical, financial, and material assistance to caregivers and youth to engage in sustainable livelihood and income-generating activities (IGAs).<br \/>\nFacilitate linkage between caregivers and youth with partners (e.g., TVETs, outreach programs, CBOs) to ensure continuity of services and smooth exit from project support.<br \/>\nSupport caregivers\u2019 and youth\u2019s self-reliance and graduation from project interventions.<\/p>\n<p>Community Engagement and Empowerment<\/p>\n<p>Strengthen new and existing CBOs through provision of resources, financial and technical support, governance strengthening, and implementation of exit plans.<br \/>\nSupport relevant government offices and forums to improve childcare and safeguarding mechanisms, including establishing or enhancing child abuse complaint and feedback systems.<br \/>\nProvide technical support to sustain existing youth centers and document lessons learned for effective administration and management.<br \/>\nStrengthen SACCOs to deliver financial services to caregivers and youth, promote women\u2019s leadership, conduct audits, and facilitate knowledge-sharing forums.<\/p>\n<p>Partner Management:<\/p>\n<p>To ensure that all activities related to livelihood are implemented in a coordinated and harmonized manner.<br \/>\nWorks closely with government, partners and community-level institutions to promote livelihood interventions with targeted households.<br \/>\nCoordinate and facilitate quarterly review meetings with government stakeholders, partners, and relevant institutions to track progress and address challenges.<br \/>\nParticipate in livelihood assessments, analysis, and planning within project operational areas to inform program strategies.<br \/>\nActively engage in sectoral coordination forums and working groups at woreda and regional levels to align activities and share learning.<br \/>\nLiaise with private sector actors and service providers to strengthen linkages, support entrepreneurship, and improve income-generating opportunities for beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p> Capacity Strengthening:<\/p>\n<p>Conduct training needs assessments and provide capacity building for caregivers, youth, field staff, CBOs, and government partners.<br \/>\nDeliver training on entrepreneurship, market-driven skills, employability, financial literacy, and business management.<br \/>\nSupport planning, facilitation, and follow-up for training sessions, workshops, and community events.<br \/>\nStrengthen group dynamics, leadership, and governance skills among community groups and cooperatives.<\/p>\n<p>MEAL<\/p>\n<p>Monitor progress of livelihood, youth, and household empowerment activities, providing feedback and recommendations to the Project Coordinator.<br \/>\nConduct supportive supervision of field-level activities to ensure compliance with quality standards, budgets, and organizational policies.<br \/>\nMaintain robust M&amp;E systems to track outputs, outcomes, and impacts of livelihood and youth interventions.<br \/>\nIntegrate community feedback mechanisms to improve relevance and responsiveness of services.<br \/>\nContribute to assessments, midline and endline evaluations, and learning reviews.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting and documentation.<\/p>\n<p>Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories for program improvement and knowledge sharing.<br \/>\nKeep updated on developments in livelihood, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and CBO strengthening practices.<br \/>\nPrepare and submit timely monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports to the Project Coordinator.<br \/>\nSupport donor reporting and proposal development by providing technical and contextual inputs.<br \/>\nCoordinate and facilitate quarterly review and planning meetings with partners, SACCOs, and stakeholders<\/p>\n<p>Other Duties<\/p>\n<p>Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or program management.<\/p>\n<p>SAFEGUARDING<\/p>\n<p>Ensure adherence to SOS CV policies such as the Code of Conduct, Safeguarding Standards and others as well as the minimum standards of development program<br \/>\nEnsure that all support is provided in the best interest of the child.<br \/>\nResponsible for taking part in awareness-raising sessions and capacity building training in relation to Safeguarding and Code of Conduct and to protect children and young people from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination<br \/>\nSupport children, young people and program participants to make them understand the Safeguarding risks and protection mechanisms<br \/>\nEnsure proper safeguarding procedures and policies are in place to protect programme participant children, young persons, adults and other stakeholders.<br \/>\nBe vigilant about any possible form of abuse\/harm, neglect, harassment, or exploitation against, children, youth and adults in personal and professional lives;<br \/>\nReport any Incident Management Team or concern within 24 hours to the Incident Management Team, focal person or concerned party through the defined channels for reporting the allegation<\/p>\n<p>About You<\/p>\n<p>Up for the related field.<br \/>\nExperience: Minimum of 3\u20135 years of professional experience in development programs focusing on livelihoods, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, or community-based initiatives.<br \/>\nProven ability to plan, implement, monitor, and report on multi-sectoral development programs.<br \/>\nExperience in working with SACCOs, savings groups, or microfinance structures, including understanding financial management and reporting requirements.<br \/>\nAbility to work collaboratively with government offices, partners, community institutions, and private sector actors.<br \/>\nAwareness and application of child protection policies, safeguarding standards, and ethical principles in program delivery.<br \/>\nAbility to speak the local language relevant to the program areas.<br \/>\nWillingness to travel frequently to project sites (kebeles\/woredas).<\/p>\n<p>Desired Criteria<\/p>\n<p>Education: Master\u2019s degree in development studies, Social Work, Community Development, or related fields.<br \/>\nExperience: More than 5 years of professional experience in development programs focusing on livelihoods, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, or community-based initiatives.<br \/>\nSpecialized knowledge in child protection, youth empowerment, livelihoods, entrepreneurship, or financial inclusion.<br \/>\nExperience working with multiple partners, consortiums, or community-based organizations in development programs.<br \/>\nExperience engaging in government coordination forums, policy dialogues, or sectoral working groups.<br
