\nPosition Summary
\nAs a Finance Officer, you will be part of a brave, smart and passionate team working together with the Finance E Operations team in Ethiopia and reporting directly to the Snr. Finance E Operations Manager, Ethiopia.
\nThe Finance Officer will play a key role in supporting the financial management of projects by ensuring compliance with Reach For Change and donor financial policies, and by contributing to financial reporting, budgeting, and audit processes. This role will play a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, managing donor contracts, and supporting risk mitigation strategies. The Finance Officer will work closely with the Program teams and partner organizations to ensure accurate budget execution, timely reporting, and robust financial systems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced knowledge of accounting systems, and extensive experience in donor-funded NGO settings.
\nPrimary responsibilities
\nFinancial Oversight E Compliance<\/p>\n
Monitor and manage project financial transactions to ensure full compliance with internal policies,donor requirements and applicable regulations.Ensure that all disbursements are accurately coded and made within approved budget limits..
\nSupport the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations, ensure timely financial closing,and maintain accurate and reconciled general ledger accounts.<\/p>\n
Budgeting E Reporting<\/p>\n
Support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly working budgets in collaboration with project teams.
\nPrepare Budget vs Actual (BVA) reports to the Snr. Finance and Operations Manager.<\/p>\n
Prepare Cash forecasts andutilisation analysis for management review.<\/p>\n
Supporting the preparation of donor financial reports in line with contractual requirements.<\/p>\n
Audit E Risk Management<\/p>\n
Coordinate and support internal, external, and donor audits.Implement audit recommendations.
\nIdentify andmitigate financial risks, and ensure compliance within projects.<\/p>\n
Grant Management<\/p>\n
Support grant management; including maintaining up-to-date grant files, agreements, and disbursement records reporting, and the closeout process.
\nLiaise with Grant Managers and Program teams to ensure financial compliance and effective fund utilization.
\nSupport thedue diligence process.<\/p>\n
Partner Support E Capacity Building
\nSupporting partner financial reports,audits, andcompliance checks.<\/p>\n
Provide training and support to RFC Beneficiaries on financial management and reporting.<\/p>\n
HR E Admin<\/p>\n
Payroll processing, tax compliance, and processing of staff benefits.
\nReview and process business and travel advance requests to ensure proper settlement.<\/p>\n
Systems E Data Management<\/p>\n
Ensure accurate and timely financial data entry in Sage andNetSuite systems.
\nMaintain financial records forall projects in line with audit standards.
\nHandle bank relations, deposits, andreconciliations.
\nPerform other duties asassigned bythe SnrFinance andOperations Manager.<\/p>\n

About You<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; ACCA\/CPA (part qualification) preferred.
\nMinimum 3years relevant experience inan NGO setting.
\nStrong knowledge of donor compliance, budgeting, grant management, and audits.
\nProficient in Sage, NetSuite, and advanced Excel.
\nExcellent financial analysis, reporting, and team coordination skills.
\nSolid understanding of Ethiopian tax and fiscal regulations.
