\nHealth, Safety and Environment (HSE) Engineer Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Design, implement, and manage comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems and procedures across all project phases, ensuring compliance with international standards, local legislation, and project-specific HSE plans.
\nProactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential hazards and risks associated with heavy equipment, high-rise construction, and dynamic site conditions, safeguarding the health and safety of workers and surrounding communities.
\nDevelop and implement robust control measures, emergency preparedness plans, and environmental protection protocols, including responsible waste management, efficient resource usage, and pollution prevention.
\nConduct regular HSE assessments, audits, and site surveillance, documenting findings, reporting non-conformances, and developing corrective action plans.
\nLead accident and incident investigations, compile detailed reports, and analyze HSE trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
\nProvide health and safety training to staff and contractors, ensuring a high level of HSE knowledge and compliance across the project team.
\nCollaborate with project management, construction teams, and contractors to enhance safety provisions and resolve HSE-related issues promptly.
\nContribute to the project\u2019s sustainability goals by advising on eco-conscious upgrades, efficient resource use, and climate-resilient construction practices.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
General Requirements
\nCandidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence, a collaborative spirit, and an unwavering focus on quality and safety. They should be free from any form of addiction (Whether Behavioral or Substance). All roles require excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex project environment. Experience with large-scale international construction projects is highly desirable.
\nQualifications & Experience:<\/p>\n
Advanced Diploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree or Masters or PhD in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
\nMinimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HSE management within large-scale construction projects, preferably in stadium or complex infrastructure development.
\nProven experience in designing and implementing HSE systems, overseeing equipment installation, and maintaining safety devices.
\nDemonstrated ability to conduct thorough risk assessments, develop comprehensive HSE policies, and manage emergency response.
\nKnowledge of international HSE standards and best practices in sustainable construction, including green building certification schemes and lifecycle costing.
\nStrong analytical skills for incident investigation and trend analysis, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
