Essential duties and responsibilities are:
\nThe position is tasked to take a lead in community mobilization activities in the target areas. The Community Mobilizer will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of community-based activities at the community level to contribute to the empowerment of the communities
\nKey activity areas will include:<\/p>\n
Responsible for designing, planning and implementing outreach\/community mobilization activities in the target area in coordination with other team members
\nMobilize and facilitate the engagements of community stakeholders through appropriate outreach mechanisms;
\nUndertake information dissemination in a timely and understandable manner to all stakeholders: IDPs, Host communities, etc
\nParticipate and coordinate the organization of sensitization, awareness campaigns and training for the community tailored to the needs
\nFacilitate active participation of the communities in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of community development initiatives.
\nSupport the collection and documentation of impact and success stories on monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annually.<\/p>\n
Community-based strategy:<\/p>\n
In close collaboration with other MdM-FR team members, contribute to the design of the community-based strategy and action plan for outreach activities
\nPromote and install a sense of ownership among the beneficiaries through community engagement activities or design appropriate activities for the enhanced beneficiaries\u2019 involvement;
\nKeep the key community stakeholders updated about the project<\/p>\n
Outreach activities:<\/p>\n
Plan for weekly\/monthly outreach and adjust to a flexible activity scheduling.
\nSupport in commemoration of international days on GBV and MHPSS such as 16 days of activism, World Mental Health Day, etc
\nOrganize awareness-raising and sensitization sessions on key topics related to GBV and MHPSS
\nMobilize and facilitate active participation of community members, including women
\nSupport case worker and psychologist in planning social mobilization and training activities as needed.
\nSupport the referral linkage of GBV and other mental illnesses from the community to the supported health facilities.<\/p>\n
Coordination:<\/p>\n
Coordinate and establish a network for social mobilization, when required and as deemed necessary, with other humanitarian actors operating in the same area;
\nRepresent community-level meetings, workshops, and training on behalf of MdM and share reports.
\nActively participate in the Consortium Coordination meetings if requested.<\/p>\n
Monitoring and reporting:<\/p>\n
Plan and establish effective beneficiary communication and feedback systems to assess the performance of the project activities.
\nEnsure the community and team\u2019s feedback is used to inform further activities development.
\nContribute to monthly sitrep.<\/p>\n
Others<\/p>\n
Keep the Program Manager informed on any issues related to logistics in the field level
\nParticipate in internal meetings.
\nAny other related MDM tasks as assigned by the Health Program Manager.
\nTo inform immediately security focal point in the case of any security problem<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
A degree\/Diploma in Social work, Health education, sociology and related fields,
\nWith 2 years of previous experience in similar positions is an asset.
\nKnowledge of Local context is an assest
\nFluent in English language (speaking and writing) is mandatory.<\/p>\n
