Ethio Impact Consulting Plc is looking for a Procurement Officer on behalf of a private company.
\nThe Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the end to end procurement process to ensure the timely, efficient, and cost effective acquisition of goods and services required for production and daily operations.The role involves leading a procurement team, developing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Develop, implement, and regularly review procurement policies, procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency and compliance.
\nLead the procurement team in formulating and executing strategic sourcing plans, including supplier identification, vetting, bid solicitation, proposal evaluation, contract negotiation and approval coordination.
\nBuild and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent on time delivery of high quality goods and services.
\nManage procurement expenditures within approved budgets while proactively identifying opportunities for cost savings and value optimization across the supply chain.
\nOversee import related processes, including Letter of Credit management, purchase order approvals and goods handover.
\nHandle freight payments, prepare shipping documentation and monitor foreign currency utilization for imported goods.
\nFacilitate smooth customs clearance by preparing and forwarding required documentation and following up with relevant authorities.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENT<\/p>\n
BA degree \/ Diploma in Procurement and Supplies Management\/Accounting \/ Marketing Management or related fields.
\n5 years or above for Diploma\/ 3 years of experience as a procurement officer.
