Transport Service<\/p>\n
Carries out the driving requirements of the Project\/program as directed by the Procurement and Logistics Officer.
\nProvide transport service to Location staffs who are responding to Mobile Outreach activities, Program Location staff, visitors, and other guests as per instructions.
\nEnsure that SOS CVE vehicle policy is strictly adhered to in vehicle management.
\nKeep assigned vehicle clean and ensure that it is properly handled, kept in good condition, and<\/p>\n
Maintenance<\/p>\n
If the vehicle is to be repaired, follow up the repair work and Program general check-ups of cars.
\nImplement daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle maintenance checks and ensure that all vehicles are maintained in a safe working condition.
\nEnsures the annual car inspection is fulfilled on time before the Road Transport Authority\u2019s deadline.
\nEnsure that the vehicle has enough fuel before embarking on transport service or heading for a field trip.
\nMonitor that the fuel consumption remains within the liter\/km rate estimate for the vehicle and report any irregularities<\/p>\n
Purchase<\/p>\n
Assist in the procurement of goods and services, including obtaining price quotations and preparing purchase orders.
\nConduct market research to identify suppliers and best prices for required goods and materials.
\nPurchase office supplies, equipment, and project-related materials as per approved budgets and requirements.
\nEnsure the timely delivery of purchased items and confirm that they meet the organization\u2019s quality and quantity specifications.
\nMaintain accurate records of purchases, receipts, and inventories.<\/p>\n
Documentation<\/p>\n
Keep correct\/proper and neatly recorded vehicle log sheets and submit them to the supervisor on a monthly basis for review, checking, and feedback.
\nEnsure that the vehicle is used for the intended\/assigned purpose in accordance with the prior authorization given by the supervisor.<\/p>\n
Safety<\/p>\n
Ensure that the vehicle safety belt is functional and used by self and the passengers onboard at all times.
\nFollow all SOS CVE SSO driving safety regulations while driving and observe all traffic rules.
\nEnsure that the car is equipped with a First Aid kit at all times<\/p>\n
Reporting<\/p>\n
Reports immediately any car accident to the police and the Procurement and Logistic Officer
\nKeep notes and timely reports, in writing, to the Procurement and logistic officer on the vehicle\u2019s routine maintenance\/service.<\/p>\n
Other Activities<\/p>\n
Assist in Local Purchases
\nDeliver messages\/post to other offices as per instructions.
\nAssume other relevant responsibilities as instructed by the supervisor<\/p>\n
Safeguarding<\/p>\n
Conduct themselves per the Code of Conduct, Safeguarding and Local\/Country Policies and Procedures.
\nBe vigilant about any possible form of abuse\/harm, neglect, harassment, or exploitation against, children, youth and adults in personal and professional lives;
\nReport any safeguarding incident or concern within 24 hours to the Incident Management Team local person or concerned party through the defined channels for reporting the allegation.
\nResponsible for reporting safeguarding suspicious concern allegations or incidents immediately following the safeguarding procedure.
\nResponsible for showing their behaviour and all relationships are based on the safeguarding policy in line with the code of conduct and they adhere<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Must Criteria<\/p>\n
Education: Certificate of technical training or at least grade 10 complete
\nExperience: 4 years of experience in mechanics and driving preferably with NGO.
\nLicense: Valid License with 3-5 grade license.
\nFlexible to work extra hours evenings, weekends or holidays as required.
\nExcellent communication skill and proficiency in Amharic and\/or Affan Oromo is required; Somali language is an advantage.<\/p>\n
Desired Criteria <\/p>\n
Working at NGOs as well as international organizations is an advantage.
\nGood knowledge in logistics and minor vehicle repair.
\nEnglish language skill will be a plus:
\nHas experience working in humanitarian setting<\/p>\n
