\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local standards.
\nManage the company\u2019s general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
\nOversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
\nCoordinate with external auditors for the annual audit and ensure timely completion.
\nManage job costing and project accounting, tracking costs (materials, labor, subcontractors, equipment) against budgets for multiple projects simultaneously.
\nPrepare and analyze Progress Reports and ensure accurate revenue recognition using the Percentage-of-Completion (POC) method.
\nReview and approve project-related invoices, purchase orders, and payment vouchers.
\nMonitor project cash flow and profitability.
\nEnsure full compliance with all TAX proclamation, regulations and directives.
\nAccurately prepare and timely submit monthly tax reports including: Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Taxes (WHT), Payroll Taxes, and Pension Contribution
\nManage all dealings with tax authorities, including responses to inquiries and tax audits.
\nStay updated on changes in Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
\nSupervise the processing of vendor invoices and ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
\nOversee the billing process and collections from clients, ensuring a healthy cash flow.
\nReconcile supplier statements and manage supplier relationships.
\nManage bank relationships and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
\nMonitor daily cash positions and prepare cash flow forecasts.<\/p>\n

About You<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Education: Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting and Finance. A Master\u2019s Degree is a plus.
\nExperience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Senior Accountant or similar role within the Construction or Manufacturing Industry in Ethiopia.
\nTechnical Skills:<\/p>\n
Proficiency in Peachtree Accounting Software and Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
\nIn-depth, hands-on experience with e-Filing Systems and TASS procedures.<\/p>\n
Knowledge:<\/p>\n
Thorough understanding of IFRS.
\nExpert knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and commercial codes.
\nStrong understanding on project-based accounting principles.<\/p>\n
