MHCE seeks a visionary, competent, and motivated Pharmacy Mall Manager to lead the full operationalization and growth of this pioneering facility.
\nPosition Title: Pharmacy Mall Manager
\nLocation: Addis Ababa, SPHMMC Campus
\nEmployment Type: One-year contract (renewable based on performance)

\nReports To: CEO\/General Manager of MHCE
\nPosition Summary
\nThe Pharmacy Mall Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operations management, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, digital transformation, financial management, and service expansion of the Pharmacy Mall. The role ensures alignment with EFDA regulations, MHCE enterprise standards, and SPHMMC institutional priorities.
\nKey Duties & Responsibilities
\n1. Leadership & Strategic Management<\/p>\n
Provide strategic direction and lead the overall Pharmacy Mall operations.
\nDevelop annual business plans and performance targets.
\nDrive service expansion that strengthens the Mall\u2019s identity and competitiveness.<\/p>\n
2. Regulatory & Quality Compliance<\/p>\n
Serve as the EFDA-registered Responsible Pharmacist.
\nEnsure full compliance with EFDA laws and GPP requirements.
\nMaintain licensing, documentation, and quality assurance systems.<\/p>\n
3. Operational Management<\/p>\n
Oversee daily operations across all service units (dispensing, optics, nutrition, consultation, retail).
\nEnsure 24\/7 service readiness with optimal staffing levels.
\nMaintain high standards for medication safety, specialized products, and compounding services.<\/p>\n
4. Inventory, Supply Chain & Logistics<\/p>\n
Lead forecasting, procurement coordination, and stock management.
\nControl wastage, expiry, shrinkage, and controlled-drug handling.
\nEnsure digital inventory accuracy through ERP and dashboards.<\/p>\n
5. Digital Systems & Data Management<\/p>\n
Oversee POS, ERP, e-prescription, dashboards, and automated reporting systems.
\nPromote data-driven decision-making and ensure data security.<\/p>\n
6. Financial & Enterprise Management<\/p>\n
Implement MHCE\u2019s financial sustainability model.
\nManage pricing, revenue, cash flow, and operational costs.
\nPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.<\/p>\n
7. Training, Mentorship & Capacity Building<\/p>\n
Coordinate student training, internships, CPD programs, and staff development.
\nSupport digital pharmacy training, operational skills, and compounding techniques.<\/p>\n
8. Research & Innovation<\/p>\n
Initiate operational and clinical research activities.
\nSupport quality improvement and innovative service models.<\/p>\n
9. Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
Work with EFDA, suppliers, EPSS, partners, and SPHMMC units.
\nEnsure customer satisfaction and smooth interdepartmental collaboration.<\/p>\n

About You<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications
\nEducation<\/p>\n
MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutics, Industrial Pharmacy, Social\/Administrative Pharmacy, or Health Supply Chain Management
\nOR
\nBPharm with strong managerial experience.<\/p>\n
License<\/p>\n
Licensed Pharmacist with eligibility for EFDA Responsible Pharmacist registration.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
\nAt least 3 years managerial or supervisory experience.
\nExperience with digital pharmacy systems preferred.
\nBackground in teaching or research is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Required Competencies
\nTechnical<\/p>\n
Strong knowledge of EFDA regulations, GPP, compounding, and pharmacy operations.
\nSolid supply chain and stock management skills.<\/p>\n
Digital<\/p>\n
Experience with ERP, POS, dashboards, and e-prescription systems.<\/p>\n
Managerial<\/p>\n
Leadership, team management, business planning, and crisis handling.<\/p>\n
Behavioral<\/p>\n
