\nJob Summary
\nThe Supply & Delivery Crew Member is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of ingredients, packaging materials, and operational supplies to Long Tea stores. The role plays a critical part in maintaining uninterrupted store operations by ensuring accurate stock flow, proper product handling, and effective communication with store teams and mall management. This position upholds Long Tea\u2019s standards for food safety, inventory integrity, and service excellence.
\nKey Duties and Responsibilities
\nA. Delivery Preparation & Execution <\/p>\n
Review delivery schedules, documents, and packing lists prior to departure.
\nLoad supplies securely to prevent damage or contamination during transit.
\nCoordinate with mall security or management regarding delivery time windows, access routes, and loading\/unloading requirements.
\nConduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.<\/p>\n
B. Store Delivery Procedures <\/p>\n
Safely unload all products and deliver them to designated storage, prep, or refrigeration areas as required.
\nEnsure delivery vehicles are parked only in approved areas in compliance with mall regulations.
\nAssist store teams in verifying accuracy of delivered items by comparing invoices, quantities, and condition of goods.
\nMaintain cold-chain requirements for temperature-sensitive items at all times.<\/p>\n
C. Stockroom & Inventory Handling <\/p>\n
Follow proper storage protocols including FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and organization by expiry date.
\nAccurately label, arrange, and store products in assigned locations.
\nImmediately report and isolate any expired, damaged, missing, or incorrect items.
\nAssist with periodic stockroom reorganization, sanitation, and deep-cleaning tasks.<\/p>\n
D. Documentation & Reporting <\/p>\n
Complete delivery logs, checklists, and receipts accurately and submit them to the Store Manager or Logistics Coordinator.
\nReport inventory discrepancies, delivery challenges, or safety issues promptly and professionally.
\nCommunicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and mall administrators to support smooth operations.<\/p>\n
E. Health, Safety & Hygiene <\/p>\n
Adhere to all Long Tea food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of consumable goods.
\nUse safe lifting techniques and approved equipment when handling heavy or bulky items.
\nMaintain a clean and orderly delivery vehicle, stockroom, and unloading areas.
\nFollow all company, mall, and road safety guidelines.<\/p>\n
F. Additional Duties<\/p>\n
Perform urgent supply pick-ups or minor errands when required by management.
\nAssist in monitoring daily consumption trends and recommend reorders when stocks run low.
\nSupport store operations as needed and carry out any additional duties assigned by management.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
Completion of secondary education preferred.
\nBilingual proficiency in English and Amharic.
\nValid driver\u2019s license with a clean driving and safety record.
\nAbility to lift and move items up to 25 kg.
\nBasic numeracy and literacy for reading invoices, expiry dates, and stock labels.
\nPrevious experience in logistics, warehouse, delivery, or food service is an advantage.<\/p>\n
Physical Requirements<\/p>\n
Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and carry heavy loads for extended periods.
\nAbility to work in varying environments including hot kitchens, cold storage rooms, and outdoor loading areas.
\nAbility to operate trolleys, hand trucks, and other transport equipment safely.
\nOccasional early morning or late evening deliveries may be required depending on store needs.<\/p>\n
