MIHR\u2019s objective is to save lives through increased access to high-quality MNCH-Nutrition life-saving interventions, strengthening partnerships with local organizations, and improving adaptive management to prevent, detect, and respond to health emergencies. MIHR focuses on equipping health institutions and frontline workers with the skills, tools, and resources to sustainably address the leading causes of maternal and child deaths. In Ethiopia, the project has three main objectives:<\/p>\n<p>Enhance health facilities\u2019 readiness to provide essential quality MCH and nutrition services;<br \/>\nImprove access to and utilization of quality MCH and nutrition services through contextualized service delivery models;<br \/>\nEnhance health security by improving emergency preparedness, disease surveillance, and outbreak response.<\/p>\n<p>Position Summary<br \/>\nThe Consultant under the supervision of Cluster Coordinator provides direct, operational support to Primary Health Care Units (PHCUs) and their associated community structures. This pivotal role is dual-focused:<\/p>\n<p>Driving demand and improving health-seeking behavior for essential RMNCAH services through Community Mobilization, and<br \/>\nEnhancing Health Security by strengthening local capacity for Risk Communication and Emergency Preparedness (RCCE).<\/p>\n<p>The Consultant will ensure high-impact implementation and knowledge transfer, aligning local actions with MIHR-E\u2019s strategic goals for sustainable community health and resilience.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\n\u25cf Provide direct, hands-on technical support and mentorship to Health Extension Workers (HEWs), community volunteers, and PHCU staff in implementing planned Community Mobilization and SBC strategies.<br \/>\n\u25cf Facilitate rollout and use of community platforms such as dialogues, Health Post Open House events, Community Action Cycles (CAC), school health activities.<br \/>\n\u25cf Facilitate and monitor community meetings to understand barriers to service uptake and relay insights to Woreda level.<br \/>\n\u25cf Support PHCU teams to use community and facility data to identify under-performing kebeles and prioritize interventions.<br \/>\n\u25cf Lead development and implementation of a Cluster-Specific RCCE Action Plan on priority health risks.<br \/>\n\u25cf Coordinate outbreak intelligence, alerts, and RCCE messaging with PHCU leadership and Woreda Health Office.<br \/>\n\u25cf Support integration of community-based surveillance with facility response systems.<br \/>\n\u25cf Conduct supportive supervision and technical mentorship on community mobilization and RCCE tools.<br \/>\n\u25cf Track performance using established indicators.<br \/>\n\u25cf Collect, analyze, and report data following MIHR-E reporting standards.<br \/>\n\u25cf Map and update relevant stakeholders to harmonize community mobilization efforts.<br \/>\n\u25cf Build strong working relationships with Woreda health offices and facilities.<br \/>\n\u25cf Perform other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p>About You<\/p>\n<p>Job Requirements<br \/>\n\u25cf Master\u2019s degree in health fields, Health Promotion, Social Science, or related fields<br \/>\n\u25cf 5+ years of technical and programmatic experience in community mobilization and empowerment<br \/>\n\u25cf Strong experience with the Ethiopian Primary Health Care system and community health programs<br \/>\n\u25cf Experience facilitating trainings and workshops<br \/>\n\u25cf Experience in capacity development of NSAs\/CSOs<br \/>\n\u25cf Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills<br \/>\n\u25cf Ability to work with local governments, CSOs, and senior government officials<br \/>\n\u25cf Fluency in English required; local language is an advantage<br \/>\n\u25cf Strong computer literacy<br \/>\n\u25cf Ability to work with minimal supervision<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"Health Development and Anti Malaria Association (HDAMA)","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job_listing_region":[11],"job-categories":[],"job-types":[12],"class_list":["post-2038","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-expired","hentry","job_listing_region-ethiopia","job-type-full-time"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/ethiopia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings\/2038","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/ethiopia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/ethiopia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/job_listing"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/ethiopia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/ethiopia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2038"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"job_listing_region","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/ethiopia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job_listing_region?post=2038"},{"taxonomy":"job_listing_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/ethiopia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-categories?post=2038"},{"taxonomy":"job_listing_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/ethiopia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-types?post=2038"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
