\nLovegrass Agro Processing Plc, a leading healthy food manufacturing company in Ethiopia, is seeking a Group HR Manager to lead our human resources function and support our growing team.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nStrategic HR Leadership<\/p>\n
Develop and execute the Group HR strategy to support Lovegrass\u2019s growth and operational excellence.
\nAct as a strategic advisor to group and subsidiary leadership on all people matters.
\nDrive initiatives to strengthen organizational culture and employee engagement across multiple locations.<\/p>\n
Talent Management for Growth<\/p>\n
Build robust talent acquisition strategies to attract skilled technical and commercial talent.
\nDesign and implement leadership development and succession planning to grow future leaders internally.
\nOversee the development of career frameworks that support growth in both field and corporate roles.<\/p>\n
Performance & Reward<\/p>\n
Establish a fair and motivating performance management system for all employee levels.
\nDesign competitive and equitable compensation and benefits structures relevant to both urban and rural operations.
\nImplement reward programs that recognize individual and team contributions to our mission.<\/p>\n
Learning & Development<\/p>\n
Lead the creation of a group-wide L&D strategy, focusing on technical skills, safety, leadership, and agri-business management.
\nDevelop and manage foundational training programs for new entrants.<\/p>\n
HR Operations & Policy<\/p>\n
Develop, standardize, and document all HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks across the group.
\nEnsure full compliance with Ethiopian labour laws and regulations at all sites.
\nLead the selection and implementation of an HRIS to streamline operations and enable data-driven decisions.
\nManage the group HR budget effectively.<\/p>\n
Employee Relations & Culture<\/p>\n
Build strong, positive employee relations and serve as a trusted point of escalation.
\nChampion core values and ensure they are lived across all parts of the business.
\nDevelop and promote community engagement and employee well-being programs, particularly for site-based teams.<\/p>\n
Team Leadership<\/p>\n
Build, lead, and mentor the central Group HR team.
\nProvide functional leadership, coaching, and support to HR personnel embedded in subsidiary units and sites.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field; Master\u2019s degree or HR certification is a strong advantage.
\nMinimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR management role.
\nProven experience designing and implementing HR systems in FMCG companies is an advantage.
\nDeep practical knowledge of Ethiopian employment law, tax, and pension regulations.
\nExperience managing talent in environments with both skilled and semi-skilled workforces.
