The Senior Human Resource Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating recruitment and employee relations functions to support the organization\u2019s workforce needs and foster a positive and productive workplace environment. This role involves leading the recruitment process, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies, and addressing employee relations issues to maintain strong engagement and morale.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
\nScreening applications, conducting interviews, and facilitating selection.
\nCollaborate with department heads and understand clients staffing needs and create job descriptions.
\nMaintain an active talent pipeline to ensure timely filling of vacancies.
\nEnsure recruitment practices comply with applicable labor laws and company policies.
\nPrepare reports and analytics on recruitment activities, employee engagement and workplace issues.
\nParticipate in HR planning initiatives, including workforce development and succession planning.
\nOversee and manage payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and Ethiopian labor law.
\nVerify, and validate payroll inputs including attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions, and leave records.
\nCoordinate with Finance and relevant departments to ensure timely salary disbursement.
\nMaintain and update payroll records in the ERP system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
\nAct as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
\nConduct investigations into workplace issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
\nPromote a positive workplace culture through proactive communication and engagement initiatives.
\nEnsure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements in handling employee grievances and disciplinary actions.
\nProvide guidance and support to management on employee relations best practices.
\nAssist managers in addressing performance issues and developing improvement plans.
\nProvide guidance on disciplinary actions and ensure fairness and compliance.
\nConduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
\nEnsure smooth off boarding processes, including final settlements and clearances.
\nTrain and mentor junior HR staff as needed<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Education: Bachelor\u2019s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field. A Master\u2019s degree is an advantage.
\nExperience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment and employee relations.
\nCertifications: HR certifications is advantageous.<\/p>\n
Skills and Competencies<\/p>\n
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.
\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
\nProblem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
