Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Refinery process Engineer is responsible to ensure the Refinery is always available for production and then produces at the rated speed with the resolution of production problems and quality with minimal waste through optimum maintenance execution.
\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Operational
\nConstantly reviewing Refinery process performance against target, and completing all daily process performance report.
\nResolving out of control situations.
\nResponding rapidly to upstream or downstream triggers that result in stoppages.
\nConstantly reviewing and reporting material consumption tracking. Yield and oil loss.
\nAnalysis plant failure mode and investigate causes for repeat failures to identify and correct root causes.
\nAppling the appropriate situational problem-solving techniques (e. g 5Why, quick fix routines, OPL (One Point Lesson) etc to identify and correct the problem.
\nFollow out autonomous maintenance activities according to the work instructions and following the maintenance schedule.
\nEnsure that SOPs are followed
\nEvaluate the existing system and modify it as appropriate to improve performance.
\nConducting trends analysis on quality data to identify problems and opportunities timeously.
\nActively participating in shift meetings, asking questions and contributing suggestions.
\nMaking use of the gap list to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities.
\nMaking use of relevant communication media (e. g shift handover books) to stay informed and to inform others of issues.
\nOptimizes processes through supporting and implementing continuous improvement, opportunities, optimizing process capability and utility usage.
\nWhere unsafe work practices have been identified, the process engineer is responsible for correcting the issue.
\nSupervises and evaluates the performances of workers under the shift
\nSafely operate, control and improve the refinery process and equipment to achieve the desired level of performance.<\/p>\n

\nPeriodically review all Food safety Procedures and interaction to Ensure they remain current.

\nImplement, document, maintain and continually improv the food safety Management System (ISO 220001:2015)
\n1.8 Environmental Management system
\nEnsure compliance with the relevant requirements of local, national and international laws related to environmental standards and end client\u2019s environmental requirements.
\nRecognize and aim for continuous improvement on protection and preservation of the environment with a focus on reducing resource consumption, recycling, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, no net deforestations) as well as innovation to reduce environmental impact.
\nEnsure reduction targets (environmental objectives) are in place for environmental aspects e.g. water consumption and discharge, waste, energy and greenhouse gas emissions.
\nDetermine environmental aspects and impacts and devise method to prevent or reduce these environmental impacts.
\nRetain list of chemicals used and control them as per their material safety data sheet, legal and client requirements. Also properly handle and manage hazardous materials and wastes.
\nUse R rules (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink, etc.) to avoid or minimize discharges to water, emissions to air and disposal to land.
\nEnsure sustainably use the natural resources such as water, raw materials, energy and other resources. And also, accurately measure and monitor consumption (usage and waste performances) of key utilities and natural resources that follows recognized protocols or standards.
\nImplement, document, maintain and continually improve the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015).<\/p>\n
