This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Accountant will assist in day-to-day accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance. The role also involves supporting budget tracking, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and ensuring records are accurate and compliant with applicable accounting standards and regulations.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Oversee and verify all general sales records and financial reports to ensure accuracy and strict compliance with established accounting and financial standards.
\nVerify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
\nMaintain the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations.
\nPrepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
\nAnalyze financial statement and summarize the company\u2019s financial position.
\nIdentify errors, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities, and recommend improvements.
\nEnsure full compliance with GAAP and applicable tax and financial regulations.
\nOversee daily accounting operations, including cash management.
\nEnsure timely preparation and payment of taxes, and compliance with tax laws and regulations especially in import and export sector.
\nPrepare and review monthly payroll in coordination with HR and management.
\nBank reconciliation.
\nOversee the company bank loans and repayment schedules.
