We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Jigjiga to oversee complex technical projects and ensure the operational excellence of our clients\u2019 industrial systems.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Installation & Commissioning: Lead the installation and initial setup of industrial machinery.
\nMaintenance Management: Perform and oversee both routine (preventive) and emergency (corrective) maintenance.
\nTechnical Diagnosis: Identify mechanical failures and develop effective, long-term solutions.
\nSupervision: Manage and coordinate teams of technicians and subcontractors on-site.
\nDocumentation: Prepare detailed maintenance reports, schedules, and technical documentation.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
Education: BSc Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
\nExperience: Minimum of 3\u20135 years of hands-on experience specifically in:<\/p>\n
Industrial machinery installation.
\nPreventive and corrective maintenance.
\nMechanical systems (including pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, boilers, etc.).<\/p>\n
Industry Background: Previous experience working in factories, plants, or industrial sites is strongly preferred.
\nCertification: Professional engineering certification is considered a significant advantage.<\/p>\n
Skills & Competencies<\/p>\n
Expertise in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and blueprints.
\nProficiency in alignment, balancing, and fitting techniques.
\nAbility to supervise welding and fabrication work.
\nStrong troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical faults.
\nDeep familiarity with industrial safety standards and site procedures.
