Job Purpose:- To oversee all maintenance, repair, and installation activities, and increase operational effectiveness by reducing failure and downtime.
\nGeneric duties:<\/p>\n
Plans, leads, organizes, staffs & controls department\u2019s overall activities,
\nDesigns and implements procedures, systems, and tools to maximize departmental operating efficiency,
\nAssesses risks by following industry trends to ensure profitability, company survival and provide solutions,
\nCoaches, mentors, and develops employees through periodic performance evaluations and ongoing performance dialogue and feedback,
\nEnsures adherence to company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises,
\nTracks expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance,<\/p>\n
Main Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Leads all maintenance & machine installation processes and operations,
\nPlan and manage all repair and installation activities,
\nConducts regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
\nEnsures all repair and installation document are up to date,
\nMonitor equipment inventory and place orders, when necessary,
\nPlan and strategize the execution of machine installation, in collaboration with respective function, select technicians for installation.
\nIdentify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required,
\nConducts risk assessments of processes and tasks in the functions,
\nEnsures shift handovers and shift reports are completed at the start and end of each shift.
\nEnsures that all maintenance & installation operations comply with safety, quality, and environmental regulations,
\nMaintain well organized, secure consumables inventory and replenishment system,
\nManage quality improvements through KPI\u2019s,
\nEnsure standardized working procedures are in place for all key tasks,
\nEnsure adequate process audits are in place,
\nEnsures team comply with the Lock out Tag out Procedure (where applicable),
\nEnsures that all customers are greeted promptly and given fair estimates on costs and time required for repairs and maintenance,
\nPrepares pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations,
\nHandles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership\u2019s guidelines
\nEstablishes and maintains 24-hour follow-up with all customers to confirm satisfaction with the service experience.
\nPerforms other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
BSc or MSc in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field of studies<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
A minimum of 10 years of experience in technical services is required, of which at least 4 years must be at a managerial or supervisory level<\/p>\n
