Purpose of the Job:
\nAs an IT Operations and Cloud System Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of the organization\u2019s IT infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud. This role involves resolving user issues, managing network and system configurations, and ensuring security and compliance. Additionally, you will monitor IT infrastructure services, manage core network services, and troubleshoot network connectivity. You will also deploy, manage, and monitor Azure cloud services, and maintain security and compliance. Furthermore, you are expected to create user-friendly manuals, assist with online session setups, and provide technical support to users. Besides this, you will set up equipment for employee use, perform minor repairs, and manage user accounts and permissions.
\nMain Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Resolve user issues based on help desk priorities.
\nAnswer user inquiries about software and hardware operations.
\nResolve user issues related to software, hardware, and network connectivity.
\nDiagnoses and resolves network problems.
\nProvide general IT support and online session support.
\nAssist departments with online session setups and provide technical support.
\nProvide on-call support after hours on a rotational basis.
\nCreate user-friendly manuals with pictures for simple configurations.
\nMaintain digital records and platforms.
\nAssist in creating and maintaining simple user processes as directed.
\nSet up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software.
\nPerform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripherals following design specifications.
\nInspect equipment and prepare for delivery to users.
\nInstall and configure desktop and laptop computers for office use.
\nMonitor IT infrastructure services daily.
\nManage core network services.
\nTroubleshoot network connectivity using command line tools.
\nManage configurations of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Windows, email, SMTP Server, and internet protocols.
\nEnsure the smooth operation of Microsoft 365 services.
\nAdminister Windows Active Directory, network, and print services.
\nManage user roles and create users with appropriate rights.
\nManage user accounts and permissions.
\nManage SharePoint sites, content, and user access.
\nMonitor and address security breaches.
\nOversee hardware and software in the cloud.
\nEnsure robust infrastructure and secure connectivity.
\nDeploy, manage, and monitor Azure cloud services.
\nMaintain security and compliance.
\nRegularly check for new firmware updates to keep the firewall secure and up to date<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Qualification and Experience<\/p>\n
Education
\nBSC Degree in Information Technology, or related field of study<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
Experience: 4 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or cloud engineering. with hands-on Microsoft 365 and Azure AD, AWS, GCP experience.
\nProven work experience as a Cloud System Administrator or similar role.
\nExperience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
\nProficient understanding of cloud computing technologies, business trends, and performance standards.
\nStrong knowledge of Linux\/Unix systems.
\nUnderstanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies.<\/p>\n
Other Requirements
\nComputer literate.
\nKnowledge of Amharic is required.
