Purpose of the Job:
\nAs a Technical Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of the organization\u2019s IT infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud. This role involves resolving user issues, managing network and system configurations, and ensuring security and compliance. Additionally, you will monitor IT infrastructure services, manage core network services, and troubleshoot network connectivity. You will also deploy, manage, and monitor Azure cloud services, and maintain security and compliance. Furthermore, you are expected to create user-friendly manuals, assist with online session setups, and provide technical support to users. Besides this, you will set up equipment for employee use, perform minor repairs, and manage user accounts and permissions.
\nMain Duties and Responsibilities: <\/p>\n
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, networks, and cloud services.
\nRespond to and manage incidents, minimizing downtime and ensuring service availability.
\nIdentify and analyze recurring problems, implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
\nProvide technical assistance and support to end-users or clients, ensuring customer satisfaction.
\nDeploy, configure, and maintain cloud resources, such as virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
\nMonitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify potential issues, and optimize resource utilization.
\nImplement and maintain security measures to protect cloud environments and data.
\nAutomate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages and tools.
\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, knowledge bases, and troubleshooting guides.
\nCollaborate with other teams, such as development, operations, and security, to resolve issues and improve services.
\nStay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in cloud computing and technical support.
\nManage small to medium-sized projects related to technical and cloud initiatives.
\nProvide training and guidance to end-users or other team members on technical and cloud-related topics.
\nWork with third-party vendors to resolve technical issues or procure cloud services.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Qualification and Experience<\/p>\n
Education
\nBSC Degree in Information Technology, or related field of study<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
Experience: 4 years of experience in technical support, cloud administration, or IT operations.
\nCustomer-facing experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
\nProven work experience as a Cloud System Administrator or similar role.
\nExperience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.<\/p>\n
Other Requirements
\nComputer literate.
\nKnowledge of Amharic is required.
