\nPCE Ventures Manufacturing PLC is a fast-growing manufacturing company engaged in impactful production, export-oriented leather goods manufacturing company. As part of our expansion, we are seeking motivated and detail-oriented professionals to join our Logistics and Supply Chain team.
\nPosition Overview
\nThe Coordinator oversees all logistics, supply chain, and production operations at Parker Clay\u2019s Ethiopian manufacturing facility in Addis Ababa. This role serves as the key liaison between PCE and Parker Clay US operations, ensuring smooth coordination of production, shipping, and customs processes while maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nLogistics & Customs Management<\/p>\n
Manage all aspects of import clearance for raw materials entering Ethiopia
\nCoordinate with Ethiopian Airlines for export shipments of finished goods
\nOversee customs documentation and clearance processes for both imports and exports
\nMaintain relationships with local customs authorities and freight handlers
\nEnsure compliance with Ethiopian import\/export regulations
\nManage relationships with DHL and other courier services for sample shipments<\/p>\n
Production & Inventory Control<\/p>\n
Oversee raw material database management and inventory tracking
\nCoordinate with production team on material requirements and availability
\nManage the receipt and proper storage of imported raw materials
\nEnsure accurate documentation of inventory movements
\nMonitor raw material stock levels and alert US team of reorder needs
\nValidate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) accuracy<\/p>\n
Team Leadership & Coordination<\/p>\n
Supervise logistics and inventory control staff at PCE
\nCoordinate with Production Manager on material needs and timelines
\nWork closely with Quality Control team to ensure materials meet standards
\nMaintain regular communication with US-based Supply Chain Coordinator
\nLead team meetings and provide updates on logistics operations<\/p>\n
Documentation & Compliance<\/p>\n
Review and validate all shipping documentation including:
\nCommercial invoices
\nPacking lists
\nBank permits for export goods
\nCertificates of Origin
\nEnsure compliance with local regulations and maintain required permits
\nMaintain accurate records of all import\/export activities
\nPrepare reports for management on logistics performance metrics<\/p>\n
Supplier & Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n
Coordinate with local suppliers and service providers
\nMaintain relationships with government offices and regulatory bodies
\nManage relationships with local banks for import\/export transactions
\nLiaise with Ethiopian Airlines cargo department
\nCoordinate with customs clearing agents<\/p>\n
Working Conditions<\/p>\n
Based at Parker Clay\u2019s facility in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
\nRegular business hours with flexibility for international communications
\nSome evening availability required for US team coordination
\nPhysical presence required for warehouse and production floor oversight<\/p>\n

\nThis position is crucial for maintaining efficient operations at Parker Clay Ethiopia while ensuring smooth coordination with US operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and have extensive knowledge of Ethiopian import\/export procedures while being comfortable working in an international environment.

About You<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
\nMinimum 5 years experience in manufacturing logistics or operations management
\nStrong knowledge of Ethiopian customs and import\/export regulations
\nExperience with inventory management systems and procedures
\nExcellent leadership and team management skills
\nStrong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
\nFluent in English and Amharic
\nExperience working with international teams<\/p>\n
Technical Requirements<\/p>\n
Proficiency in inventory management systems
\nStrong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
\nExperience with production planning and control systems
