Core Accountability Areas<\/p>\n<p>The Project Sales Manager is accountable for:<br \/>\nIdentifying and qualifying construction projects early<br \/>\nBuilding relationships with contractors, developers, and consultants<br \/>\nDriving project opportunities through defined pipeline stages<br \/>\nSecuring purchase orders or contract awards<br \/>\nEnsuring clean handover to operations after award<\/p>\n<p>4. Key Responsibilities<br \/>\nA. Project Identification &amp; Qualification<\/p>\n<p>Track upcoming and active construction projects within assigned territory<br \/>\nQualify projects based on size, relevance, payment reliability, and technical fit<br \/>\nEnter all qualified projects into the CRM at early stages<br \/>\nPrioritize high-probability projects based on defined criteria<\/p>\n<p>B. Relationship &amp; Influence Management<\/p>\n<p>Build professional relationships with:<br \/>\nMain contractors<br \/>\nSub-contractors<br \/>\nProject owners<br \/>\nConsultants and engineers<br \/>\nEngage early to influence product selection and specifications<br \/>\nPosition the company as a reliable, technically competent supplier<\/p>\n<p>C. Proposal &amp; Negotiation Management<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate with Technical Sales Engineers to prepare solutions<br \/>\nPrepare commercial proposals in line with pricing polici<br \/>\nLead negotiations within approved authority limits<br \/>\nEscalate pricing or risk issues when required<\/p>\n<p>D. Pipeline &amp; Forecasting Discipline<\/p>\n<p>Maintain accurate and up-to-date project pipeline data<br \/>\nTrack opportunity stages, probabilities, and timelines<br \/>\nProvide weekly updates on pipeline movement and risks<br \/>\nSupport realistic forecasting<\/p>\n<p>E. Contract Award &amp; Handover<\/p>\n<p>Secure written purchase orders or contracts<br \/>\nConfirm payment terms, delivery schedules, and scope<br \/>\nConduct formal handover to operations, logistics, and finance<br \/>\nSupport post-award client communication during early execution<\/p>\n<p>5. Decision Authority<\/p>\n<p>The Project Sales Manager has authority to:<br \/>\nQualify and disqualify project opportunities<br \/>\nIssue proposals and proformas within policy<br \/>\nNegotiate terms within approved pricing limits<br \/>\nRequest technical support and trials<br \/>\nEscalate risks and exceptions<\/p>\n<p>6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Revenue<\/p>\n<p>Project revenue achieved vs target<br \/>\nAverage deal size<br \/>\nPipeline<br \/>\nActive project pipeline value<br \/>\nStage conversion rates<br \/>\nSales cycle duration<br \/>\nQuality<br \/>\nAccuracy of forecasts<br \/>\nNumber of project wins<br \/>\nClean handover incidents (no sales-caused issues)<\/p>\n<p>9. What Success Looks Like in 12 Months<\/p>\n<p>Stable pipeline of qualified projects<br \/>\nEarly-stage project engagement becoming routine<br \/>\nImproved conversion from proposal to order<br \/>\nReduced emergency quoting<br \/>\nStrong internal trust from operations and finance<\/p>\n<p>10. Required Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Business<br \/>\n5+ years\u2019 experience in B2B or project-based sales<br \/>\nStrong understanding of construction project environments<br \/>\nExperience dealing with contractors and consultants<br \/>\nAbility to read basic technical drawings and specifications<\/p>\n<p>8.
