ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
\nThe National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133\/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its\u2019 institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for Logistics Expert position who meet the following requirements.

\nJob Summary
\nThe Logistics Expert provides essential administrative and operational support to the Region branch office and facilitates logistics activities led by the HQ. This role involves coordinating logistics activities, managing documentation, assisting with inventory control, and ensuring smooth communication among team members and external partners. The Logistics Expert plays a critical role in optimizing logistics processes, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating efficient coordination within the logistics department.
\nDuties and responsibilities
\nCoordination and Communication:<\/p>\n
Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
\nCommunicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation partners to coordinate logistics operations.
\nCommunicate effectively with the logistics team, HQ, as to the delivery of election materials to all destinations within the region and all logistics related issues.
\nEnsure that election materials are kept in safe custody in their proper and secured space so that no damage, theft and pilferage occurs.
\nEnsure that packed election materials are dispatched and distributed to all constituencies\/centers and then polling stations in a secured manner.
\nActively communicate and interact with the logistics team during retrieval of materials to the selected regional warehouses and HQ.<\/p>\n
Documentation Management:<\/p>\n
Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documents, purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant paperwork.
\nEnsure accurate record-keeping and filing of logistics-related documents for easy retrieval and compliance purposes.
\nInventory Support:
\nAssist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
\nCollaborate with inventory management teams to facilitate accurate stock counts and reconciliation.
\nProblem-Solving:
\nAddress logistics-related issues, discrepancies, and delays promptly, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to find effective solutions.
\nVendor Management:
\nSupport vendor management activities, including communication, performance evaluations, and coordination of deliveries.
\nAssist in negotiating contracts and agreements with logistics service providers.
\nProcess Improvement:
\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements within the logistics department.
\nImplement best practices and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and productivity.<\/p>\n
Training and Support:<\/p>\n
Provide training and support to team members on logistics processes, and best practices.
\nAct as a resource for colleagues, answering queries and guiding on logistics-related matters.
\nReporting:
\nPrepare regular reports on logistics activities, inventory levels, and key performance indicators.
\nAnalyze data and provide insights to support decision-making within the logistics team.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Education and Work Experience:<\/p>\n
Masters or Bachelors in Supply Chain Management; Business Management; Logistics Management and other related fields
\n5 years for Masters or 7 years for BA<\/p>\n
Know-How (Skills) (Technical competencies):<\/p>\n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
\nStrong organizational and multitasking abilities.
\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
\nDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
\nProblem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
\nFamiliarity with logistics and supply chain processes and terminology.
\nProficiency in local and Federal working languages is preferable
\nNot a member of a political party.<\/p>\n
