Patchee Food Manufacturing PLC is a confectionery manufacturing company that mainly produces a variety of chocolates. The Accountant we are looking for plays a vital role in managing financial records and supporting the financial operations of the company. This full-time, Junior level position is designed for candidates with 1-2 year experience that are eager to develop their skills in the accounting and finance sector. The role requires working in an office environment in Addis Ababa, on Ring road around Saris Abo.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets and income statements.
\nAssist in the preparation and review of full IFRS financial statements.
\nConduct financial analysis to support decision-making and budget planning.
\nUtilize Peachtree software to manage accounting tasks efficiently.
\nCreate financial forecasts and reports to aid in strategic planning.
\nEnsure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
\nMaintain organized data and record-keeping systems.
\nCollaborate with team members to complete financial projects and initiatives.
\nPrepare documentation for audits and assist in the audit process.
\nSupport the finance team with various administrative tasks as required.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Required Skills and Experience:<\/p>\n
1-2 years proven experience in an accounting position (in a factory is preferable).
\nKnowledge of Peachtree software application.
\nStrong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
\nDemonstrated ability in financial analysis and reporting.
\nBasic data entry and record-keeping skills.
\nAbility to prepare accurate financial records and reports.
\nKnowledge of essential financial statements.
\nFamiliarity with full IFRS financial statements preparation and review.
\nDetail-oriented approach to financial documentation and analysis.
\nStrong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and files.
\nCapacity to multitask and effectively prioritize responsibilities.
\nExcellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
\nFluency in both written and spoken English and Amharic; additional languages are a plus.
\nStrong communication skills.
\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment.
