VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40\/96 which currently amended to 626\/2009 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in five of the Regional States of the country.
\nVisionFund MFI is currently looking for candidates for Security Supervisor role. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:
\n2. JOB SUMMARY
\nUnder the general direction of the Staff Organazational Safety & Security Coordinator, assists in organizing, directing, coordinating, controlling & supervising all security guards engaged in the safety and security of the VFMF\u2019s; assists in preparing daily, weekly or monthly shift schedules; inspects daily shifts; ensures that guards are posted at the appropriate check points; submits reports on security matters.
\n3. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <\/p>\n
Assists in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and controlling the safety and overall security services throughout the VFMFI.
\nAssists in developing & Implementing the safety and security policies and procedures.
\nEnsuring that security and safety of the VFMFI is maintained at all time during and after office hours.
\nConducting and coordinating security and safety inspection & conducts occasional\/ surprise checking.
\nInvestigating and handling sensitive and complex security matters encountered or imminent threats and reports findings to supervisor in time.
\nPreparing written interview exam and participate on the selection, assignment of shift coordinators and security guards.
\ncooperates with local police, fire brigade and Woreda Administration authorities in problems affecting safety and security.
\nConducts surveillance on current security and safety situation and reports to supervisor; recommends measures to develop more effective and efficient strategies.
\nEnsures that security log books are properly utilized and maintained in safe custody at all times at branches.
\nPrepares and submits monthly, quarterly and annual reports and maintains proper documentation.
\nConducting regular security and risk assessment and reporting to the supervisor.
\nArranges and provides training on security to security staff.
\nEvaluates periodic performance of subordinates.
\nSuggesting the various way & means to strengthen the security system of the VFMFI.
\nCommunicates and discuss the performance of agent security guard (Outsourced security service providers)
\nPrepares and submits periodic performance reports; and
\nPerforms other related duties as required.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
\nA) EDUCATION\/TRAINING<\/p>\n
Grade 12ve Complete + Military or Police Training Certificate<\/p>\n
B) EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
5 year of work experience<\/p>\n
C) TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS<\/p>\n
Good knowledge of security equipment and operating techniques
\nAbility in coordinating teams
\nExcellent security surveillance skills
\nKnowledge of security systems and emergency procedures as well as customer care.
\nAbility to remain calm under pressure.
\nGood oral and written reporting skill<\/p>\n
