The Role
\nThe Financial Controller is responsible for leading the company\u2019s financial accounting and reporting function, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements, strong internal controls, and full compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
\nThe role oversees the integrity of the general ledger, the end-to-end month-end and year-end close processes, and ensures the finance function remains audit-ready at all times.
\nThis position partners closely with the Head of Finance, FP&A, Treasury, and operational teams to deliver high-quality financial information, strengthen financial discipline, support decision-making, and ensure effective financial governance across the organization.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n1. Financial Reporting & Close<\/p>\n
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
\nMaintain the integrity of the general ledger, including journals, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations
\nPrepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
\nProvide variance analysis and explanations for management reporting
\nEnsure consistent application of accounting policies across the organization<\/p>\n
2. Internal Controls, Compliance & Audit<\/p>\n
Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets
\nEnsure compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
\nCoordinate external and statutory audits as the primary finance contact
\nEnsure timely resolution and closure of audit findings
\nMaintain audit-ready documentation for all financial processes<\/p>\n
3. Tax & Statutory Reporting<\/p>\n
Oversee preparation and filing of tax returns (VAT, withholding tax, payroll taxes, etc.)
\nEnsure accurate tax accounting and proper documentation for all tax-related transactions
\nSupport tax audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews
\nWork with external advisors where necessary to ensure compliance<\/p>\n
4. Cash, Working Capital & Treasury Coordination<\/p>\n
Partner with Treasury to support cash flow forecasting and daily cash management
\nOversee bank reconciliations and payment governance processes
\nMonitor AR\/AP controls to improve working capital efficiency
\nStrengthen cash conversion discipline across the business<\/p>\n
5. Team Leadership & Process Improvement<\/p>\n
Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members
\nEnsure clear accountability, performance management, and capability development
\nProvide technical accounting guidance to business teams
\nDrive continuous improvement in finance processes, systems (ERP), and reporting tools
\nSupport automation and standardization of finance operations<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
\nMaster\u2019s degree is an advantage<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
7\u201310 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance
\nStrong experience in financial reporting, month-end and year-end close
\nExperience coordinating external audits and tax compliance processes
\nPrevious team leadership experience is preferred<\/p>\n

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
\nAbility to enforce internal controls and maintain audit-ready systems
\nProficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel
\nStrong leadership and stakeholder management skills
