Under the direct supervision of the MSIE Centre Manager, the Medical Radiologic Technologist plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation and close monitoring of all radiologic services within the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Specialty Centre. This includes managing and operating advanced imaging technologies such as X-ray, mammography, and ultrasound equipment.
\nDUTIES\/TASKS<\/p>\n
Perform high-quality radiologic procedures, including X-rays, mammography, and ultrasounds, ensuring accurate diagnostic imaging for patients.
\nOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiologic equipment, ensuring it is always in optimal working condition. Coordinate with technical support for regular maintenance and repairs.
\nPerform basic ultrasounds or obstetric and gynaecological and abdominal ultrasound
\nInterpret routine chest, abdominal and musculoskeletal radiographic images and provide report
\nConduct radiographic monitoring in the work environment and Ensures compliance to Radiologic safety standards
\nImplement and adhere to quality control protocols to maintain high standards of diagnostic imaging. Regularly review and update radiologic procedures and practices to align with current best practices and standards.
\nManage workplace Occupational Health Standard management system; and monitor implementation of work plan and activities.
\nMaintain record, prepare and submit periodic reports to his\/her immediate supervisor.
\nWork closely with other healthcare professional groups within the MCH Specialty Centre to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans to ensure the centre is following National and MSI Standards.
\nConduct supportive supervision visit to MSIE Centres having radiologic services (Ultrasound and\/or X-ray
\nParticipate in research and project development.
\nPerform related tasks as required.<\/p>\n

Education<\/p>\n
BSc\/M.Sc. Degree in Medical Radiologic Technology from a recognized College\/ University<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
Two years of experience as Medical Radiologic Technologist<\/p>\n
