\nJob Summary
\nDololo Import and Export Plc is looking for skilled and detail-oriented senior finance officer to join our import and export company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and experience working with international transactions. The senior finance officer will be responsible for managing the financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial reports to support decision-making processes.
\nResponsibilities and Deliverables:<\/p>\n
Prepare and manage all financial and management reports, including reconciliations, cash flow analyses, balance sheets, and financial utilization reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
\nPrepare annual financial statements, including the statement of financial position, profit and loss account, and statement of cash flows for external stakeholders such as shareholders, tax authorities, and financers.
\nEnsure all statutory tax obligations (VAT, withholding tax, employee income tax, annual profit tax, etc.) are accurately settled on time.
\nprovide financial insights and recommendations to management for business strategy and growth.
\nFacilitate external audit services, at the end of each fiscal year, in order to get opinion on fair presentation of business unit\u2019s financial position.
\nDesign and implement KPI dashboards and financial monitoring tools for real-time oversight.
\nProvide strategic advice to the CEO, General Manager and Board on financial sustainability and expansion.
\nLiaise with banks, auditors, and government agencies to maintain strong institutional relationships.
\nAccurate & timely preparation of financial management reports within Ethiopia
\nEffective management and control of cash-flows, working capital and budgets within Ethiopia
\nEffective management of finance team
\nEffective strategic and operational support
\nEffective teamwork (both internal and external stakeholders) and self-management<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications: <\/p>\n
BS\/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
\nProfessional qualification such as CPA or similar
\nAt least 3 years in a senior finance or director-level position, ideally in a trading, logistics, or import\/export business
\nIn-depth knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, financial regulations, and procurement rules
\nExperience with ERP\/accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, IFRS ,QuickBooks, Sage, SAP)<\/p>\n
