Ethio Wetlands and Natural Resources Association (EWNRA) is a non-political, non-religious, and not-for-profit Ethiopian Civil Society Organization focused on sustainable wetland and natural resource management, as well as livelihoods improvement. EWNRA, with funding from NORAD through the Development Fund of Norway, is set to implement the project \u201cImproving Rights, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Forest Management in Southwestern Ethiopia\u201d in Gambela, Oromia, and the Southwest Ethiopia People\u2019s Regional States. EWNRA is seeking highly qualified candidates for the following position:
\nNumber of Positions: One
\nDuty Stations: Mizan-Aman Town (Bench-Sheko Zone, Southwest Ethiopia Peoples\u2019 Regional State)
\nDuties and Responsibilities: Working with and reporting to the Finance and Administrative Officer, the Cashier Accountant will be responsible for handling the project petty cash and report monthly petty cash balance. Prepare checks and check payment vouchers and cash receipts up on receiving approved payment request approved by responsible. Undertake the procurement of office equipment\u2019s and stationeries when instructed by the concerned and responsible personnel by following the necessary procedures. Follow-up settlement of staff advances within the month withdrawn and no further advance is given to the same person before settling the outstanding balance. Any other admin and finance related activity that may be required by the Administrative and Finance Officer.
\nSalary: As per EWNRA\u2019s salary scale.
\nTerms of Employment: 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension for up to four years, based on performance.<\/p>\n

About You<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Educational Requirements: B.A.\/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, business administration or a related field.
\nExperience: At least 4\/2 years of relevant experience in finance and administration, preferably with NGOs or donor-funded projects. NGO Experience is an advantage<\/p>\n
Additional Requirements:<\/p>\n
Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and reporting, including donor compliance.
\nExperience with accounting software and good computer skills (MS Excel, Word).
\nGood understanding of procurement, asset management, and audit processes.
\nStrong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
\nAbility to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams.
