Founded on compassion and excellence, HFE strives to restore health and dignity to women across Ethiopia through treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation programs.<br \/>\nOne of our key initiatives, Project Zero, aims to achieve fistula elimination woreda by woreda, ensuring that no woman suffers needlessly from this preventable condition.<br \/>\nVacancy Information<br \/>\nJob Title: Project Zero Officer<br \/>\nReports to: Project Zero Manager<br \/>\nEducation Requirement: BSc in Midwifery and\/ Or MSc in Midwifery and\/or MSc, MPH in maternal and child health related fields.<br \/>\nWork Experience: Minimum of 3\u20135 years of relevant experience working in maternal health, reproductive health, public health.<br \/>\nMode of Employment: Contract\/Permanent<br \/>\nSalary: As per the scale of the organization<br \/>\nLocation: Addis Ababa<br \/>\nNumber of Candidates: Two<br \/>\nGender: Male or Female<br \/>\nAnnouncement Date: May 30, 2026<br \/>\nDeadline for Application: 15 days from the date of announcement<br \/>\nJob Summary<br \/>\nThe Project Officer is responsible for the overall coordination and day-to-day implementation of Project Zero activities within the each project zero Woredas. The position ensures effective planning, supervision, stakeholder engagement, monitoring, reporting, and quality implementation of project activities in collaboration with Project zero teams and local stakeholders.<br \/>\nMajor Duties and Responsibilities of The Project officer includes the following, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate and oversee implementation of all Project Zero activities at Woreda level.<br \/>\nEnsure activities are implemented according to approved work plans, timelines, and project objectives.<br \/>\nFacilitate coordination between the Project Zero team, Woreda Health Office, health facilities, and community stakeholders.<br \/>\nSupport effective project management, coordination and provide support to field staffs on the project implementation procedure, data management and effective financial management.<br \/>\nSupport implementation of the Woreda Improvement Plan.<br \/>\nEnsure timely execution of awareness, mentorship, surveillance, and referral activities.<br \/>\nPrepare detailed activity plans and implementation schedules.<br \/>\nMonitor progress of project activities and ensure targets are achieved.<br \/>\nConduct routine supportive supervision and follow-up visits.<br \/>\nSupport baseline, midline, and end line assessments.<br \/>\nTrack key performance indicators and programme milestones.<br \/>\nCoordinate mentorship activities in collaboration with midwife mentors.<br \/>\nSupport organization of trainings, review meetings, and learning sessions.<br \/>\nEnsure timely collection and compilation of project data.<br \/>\nSupport data quality assurance activities.<br \/>\nPrepare quality technical reports on monthly and quarterly basis and share with .<br \/>\nFollow up project logistics, supplies, and equipment distribution.<br \/>\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project files, databases, and contact lists, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.<br \/>\nContribute to the identification and documentation of project best practices, lessons learned, and success stories, and support knowledge sharing and learning initiatives within the project team and with external stakeholders.<br \/>\nSupport office setup and operational coordination at Woreda level.<br \/>\nPerform other duties as assigned by the Project Zero manager to support the overall success and impact of the project.<\/p>\n<p>About You<\/p>\n<p>Work Experience<\/p>\n<p>Minimum of 3\u20135 years of relevant experience working in maternal health, reproductive health, public health<br \/>\nHas previous hands on\/ successful experience on project management.<br \/>\nExperience in community health and health system strengthening is desirable.<br \/>\nExperience working with NGOs or donor-funded projects is mandatory.<br \/>\nStrong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n<p>Requirement Skill<\/p>\n<p>Strong coordination and organizational skills.<br \/>\nGood understanding of maternal health and obstetric fistula prevention.<br \/>\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nDemonstrated ability to work within a team environment.<br \/>\nAbility to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.<br \/>\nProblem-solving and decision-making skills.<br \/>\nReport writing and documentation skills.<br \/>\nBasic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.<br \/>\nWillingness to travel frequently (around 50%) within the Woreda.<\/p>\n<p>Key competencies and professional expertise required:<\/p>\n<p>Excellent skill of computer software packages;
