Factory is Located at Afar Region , Afedera Salt Producing Site and its Head Quarter is in Samara with Branch office in Addis Ababa.
\nPosition Summary
\nElad Salt Manufacturing Company is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Factory Manager to lead its salt production and processing operations in Afdera. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing production, maintenance, quality assurance, workforce management, safety compliance, and operational efficiency to ensure the factory meets its production and business objectives.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Lead and manage all factory operations to achieve production targets and quality standards.
\nPlan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the overall day to day activities of the Factory.
\nPrepare an annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances; initiating corrective actions
\nDirects or coordinates operational activities to optimize operation and increase efficiency.
\nReviews financial statements, activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
\nDirects and oversee administrative activities directly related to production. Utilization and providing services.
\nDevelop key performance indicators (KPI) and manage staff performance to ensure targets are achieved
\nCreate and implement strategies that support business growth and expansion
\nEnsure departments deliver high-quality services and meet client expectations
\nIdentify risks and implement corrective actions to improve operational effectiveness
\nMaintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
\nEstablishes or implements departmental policies, goals, objectives, procedures in conjunction with, organization officials, or staff members.
\nPlans procurement of raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and other factory inputs in advance (Imports and \/local purchase) based on minimum stock level and lead-time to avoid any interruption of production.
\nIdentify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
\nOversee the movement of goods\/raw materials into and out of production facilities to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, or sustainability of operations.
\nImplements or oversees environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation, or waste management.
\nEnsures that staff at the SBU gets continuous training and development opportunities.
\nCommunicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems.
\nRepresent the factory in Public and Governmental bodies or meetings.
\nEnsure Quality throughout the production process.
\nGenerating reports and distribute to concerned bodies.
\nPerforms other activities as required and delegate.
\nEnsure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
\nSupervise, mentor, and evaluate factory staff and department heads.
\nMonitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement and logistics activities.
\nPrepare operational, financial, and production reports for senior management.
\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree or Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or social and natural science field.
\nMinimum of 7 years of relevant manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a senior management position.
\nStrong leadership, planning, financial management, and problem-solving skills.
\nExperience in salt processing, mining, manufacturing, FMCG, or related industries is highly desirable.
\nExperience in salt processing management is highly desirable.
\nExcellent communication and team management abilities.<\/p>\n
