The finance assistant will support the Capacity Development Program for Local and Grassroots Civil Society Organizations (CDP-Lg CSOs) which is funded by the European Union under the Civil Society Fund Plus (CSF +) by assisting in the delivery of technical support and capacity-building services. This role involves collaborating with partners, grantees, and stakeholders to assist the needs of local CSOs, developing tailored financial management verification tool, conduct verifications, assist sub grantees in financial documentation and recording, delivery of training and mentorship that enhances the effectiveness and sustainability of these organizations\u2019 financial management practices.
\nThe primary objective of the position is to engage to assist the senior finance expert, sub grantees, and finical monitoring exercises.
\nEnsure timely and accurate payments are made.<\/p>\n
Ensure accuracy and completeness of payment documents in compliance with WHH and donor policies and procedures.
\nEnsure completeness of supporting documents in all respect which includes authenticity of signatures, cross-checking attendance sheets and verifying payments made to casuals and volunteers.
\nRecording all vouchers into transaction spreadsheet on daily basis for review by the Senior Finance Expert. Ensure that all information in the spreadsheet is correct and complete.
\nPrepare all payments and make sure that they are properly coded and supported with relevant and necessary documents.
\nAssist Senior Finance Expert with monthly bank account reconciliation.
\nSupport the project beneficery sub grantees & finance officer in budget planning, modification and forecasting.
\nEnsure all the financial documents are properly filed and numbered.
\nPaid\u2019 stamping of all the invoices and related documents before filing.
\nEnsure that the expenditure reported are reconciled with your accounting record.
\nAssist with timely scanning and uploading on online platform of all completed finance documents.
\nPerform any other task as assigned by the line manager\/immediate supervisor

About You<\/p>\n
BA in Accounting with three years of relevant work experience in local NGO\/CSPs
\nAdvanced knowledge of English
\nComputer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting software
