\tTo provide and maintain caring and high professional standards of nursing care utilizing the set standards, procedures and policies, to meet patients\u2019 needs and have job satisfaction.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\t\u00a0To utilize the standards and procedures of nursing care to continuously improve the quality of nursing care and exceed patients expectations\u00a0
\n\tTo be a role model of the nursing profession and exercise professionalism at all times while treating patients with dignity, privacy and respect.
\n\tTo learn to communicate effectively with other professionals\/patients and their significant others including staff of other departments inorder to advocate for patients effectively.\u00a0
\n\tTo utilize infection control measures in place, to provide a safe and suitable environment for patients\/staff and others.
\n\tTo uphold statutory regulations as required by the nursing profession and the Laws of Kenya.
\n\tTo safeguard all confidential information concerning patients and their treatment.
\n\tTo report all complaints and incidents to the shift-in-charge as they occur in your line of duty.
\n\tTo learn to be knowledgeable of the equipment in use in the ward\/department and safeguard hospital\/patient property and equipment from damage, wastage or loss.
\n\tTo maintain and regularly update professional knowledge and competence through education, self motivated learning and participate in research in the ward.\u00a0
\n\tTo learn to provide accurate documentation, proper record keeping and storage for continuity, quality and legal reference.
\n\tTo utilize available resource effectively for quality service delivery, profitability and cost containment.
\n\tTo learn and practice good interpersonal relationship amongst the nursing team, patients and other disciplines.
\n\tAny other duty as assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tKCSE C and above.
\n\tDiploma in accredited School of Nursing: KRN\/M, KRCHN\/BScN
\n\tAt least 1-3 years\u00a0<\/p>\n
