Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tTo facilitate the academic, social, emotional, and moral development of learners by delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the Kenyan curriculum (CBC\/8-4-4), using learner-centered approaches and maintaining a supportive learning environment.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Instructional Delivery<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in assigned subjects.
\n\tImplement CBC guidelines including learning outcomes, performance tasks, and assessment rubrics.
\n\tPrepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning aids.
\n\tIncorporate ICT tools and digital content in teaching where applicable.<\/p>\n
Assessment and Evaluation<\/p>\n
\tDesign and administer both formative and summative assessments.
\n\tKeep accurate records of learners’ progress and use data to inform instruction.
\n\tPrepare end-term reports and conduct parent-teacher meetings.<\/p>\n
Classroom Management<\/p>\n
\tMaintain discipline using positive behavior reinforcement strategies.
\n\tFoster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
\n\tAddress learners\u2019 social-emotional needs and refer serious cases to the counselor or administration.<\/p>\n
Professionalism and Teamwork<\/p>\n
\tAttend all scheduled staff meetings, workshops, and school events.
\n\tParticipate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities (e.g., sports, clubs, drama).
\n\tCollaborate with colleagues in planning and co-teaching when necessary.<\/p>\n
Parental Engagement<\/p>\n
\tCommunicate regularly and professionally with parents\/guardians about learners\u2019 progress and school matters.
\n\tParticipate in school open days, academic clinics, and other parental engagement forums.<\/p>\n
Curriculum Development<\/p>\n
\tContribute to the continuous review and enrichment of curriculum content.
\n\tInnovate and adapt learning materials to meet diverse learner needs.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Education.
\n\tTSC number (preferred) or proof of TSC application.
\n\tProven teaching experience, minimum 2 years.
