Job Summary<\/p>\n
Pearl Hospital is a Level 4 multi-specialty hospital in Laikipia County. Guided by our values of Quality, Efficiency, Professionalism, and Compassion, we are seeking for a Medical Officer who will provide comprehensive medical care to patients by diagnosing, treating and preventing illnesses while ensuring high standards of clinical practice, patient safety and ethical conduct in line with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tExamine, diagnose, and treat patients in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings
\n\t\u200ePrescribe appropriate medication and treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines
\n\t\u200ePerform medical procedures within the scope of practice
\n\t\u200eMonitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
\n\t\u200eMaintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient medical records
\n\t\u200eParticipate in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical audits
\n\t\u200eRefer patients to specialists or higher-level facilities when necessary
\n\t\u200eEnsure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements
\n\t\u200eParticipate in continuous medical education and professional development
\n\t\u200eSupport junior staff, interns, and students through supervision and mentorship
\n\t\u200ePromote preventive healthcare and patient education
\n\t\u200eRespond to medical emergencies and provide on-call services as required<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) .
\n\t\u200eRegistered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)
\n\t\u200eValid practicing license
\n\t\u200eMinimum of 1 year post-internship experience\u00a0
\n\t\u200eCertification in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS is an added advantage
\n\t\u200eStrong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making\u00a0<\/p>\n

\tStrong clinical and diagnostic skills
\n\tGood communication and interpersonal skills.
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
\n\tTeam player with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
\n\tBasic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
