Job Overview<\/p>\n
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The role supports day-to-day accounting operations while providing reliable financial information to aid management decision-making within a hospitality environment.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Financial Transactions & Record Keeping<\/p>\n
\tManage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
\n\tPrepare, review, and post journal entries with appropriate documentation and account coding
\n\tPerform bank, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner
\n\tMaintain accurate financial records in line with internal policies and procedures<\/p>\n
Month-End Close & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tSupport month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and adjustments
\n\tPrepare financial reports, schedules, and reconciliations for management review
\n\tAssist in analyzing variances and trends to support operational and financial planning<\/p>\n
Compliance & Internal Controls<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial controls
\n\tAssist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries
\n\tSupport continuous improvement of financial controls and accounting processes<\/p>\n
Cash & Vendor Management<\/p>\n
\tMonitor cash movements and assist with cash flow management
\n\tManage supplier accounts, statements, reconciliations, and payment processing
\n\tLiaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing or payment discrepancies<\/p>\n
Cross-Functional Support<\/p>\n
\tWork closely with operations, procurement, and administration teams to ensure accurate financial data
\n\tSupport finance leadership with ad-hoc reports, analysis, and special projects as required<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
\n\t3\u20135 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, service, or property environments
\n\tStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
\n\tProficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
\n\tHigh level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail
\n\tStrong communication and interpersonal skills<\/p>\n
