Job Objective:<\/p>\n
\u00a0The IP Network Planner\u00a0is responsible for\u00a0designing, planning, documenting and optimizing IP networks across core, aggregation and access domains. The role ensures scalable, resilient and high\u2011performance network infrastructure by producing high\u2011quality architectural designs (HLDs\/LLDs), forecasting capacity,\u00a0maintaining\u00a0accurate\u00a0network records and guiding end\u2011to\u2011end implementation in collaboration with cross\u2011functional engineering teams.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Key Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
IP Network Design and Architecture<\/p>\n
\tPlan, design and optimize IP\/MPLS networks across core, edge, aggregation, and data\u2011center environments
\n\tDevelop resilient routing architectures including BGP, IS\u2011IS\/OSPF, MPLS L2\/L3 services, Internet transit and peering strategies
\n\tProduce architectural deliverables such as capacity models, traffic\u2011engineering approaches, redundancy frameworks and service\u2011specific infrastructure blueprints<\/p>\n
\u00a0High\u2011Level and Low\u2011Level Design Documentation (HLD\/LLD)<\/p>\n
\tCreate comprehensive High\u2011Level Designs (HLDs) describing architectural intent, technology selection, network topology, inter\u2011domain integration, performance assumptions and scalability plans
\n\tDevelop detailed Low\u2011Level Designs (LLDs) including IP addressing plans, interface\u2011level specifications, routing policies, protocol configurations, traffic\u2011engineering parameters and implementation workflows
\n\tEnsure all design documentation adheres to internal engineering standards, quality controls and compliance requirements<\/p>\n
Implementation Oversight and Delivery Assurance\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tOversee the full implementation lifecycle of IP network solutions
\n\tCollaborate with Field Engineering, Network Operations, NOC, PMO and suppliers to validate deployments
\n\tConduct design sign\u2011off, engineering governance and post\u2011implementation verification
\n\tEnsure implementation updates are reflected in planning systems and network inventory platforms<\/p>\n
Capacity, Resource and Inventory Planning<\/p>\n
\tForecast IP network capacity needs across routing, switching, traffic flows and peering\/transit services
\n\tConduct audits on IP network utilization and resource allocation
\n\tMaintain accurate network inventory including addressing schemes, interfaces, ports, configurations<\/p>\n
Documentation, Compliance and Governance\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMaintain updated technical documentation including diagrams, routing policies, service delivery models
\n\tHelp refine company network planning standards, policies and procedures
\n\tEnsure designs comply with security, operational and regulatory standards<\/p>\n
Cross\u2011Functional Collaboration<\/p>\n
\tWork with Project Managers, Operations, Field Engineering and Network Architects.
\n\tSupport departments in alignment with organization planning responsibilities<\/p>\n
Technical Analysis and Optimization<\/p>\n
\tConduct network performance assessments
\n\tRecommend improvements for scalability, efficiency and modernization
\n\tSupport troubleshooting escalations related to design concerns<\/p>\n
Reporting and Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n
\tPrepare technical reports, capacity analyses and planning assessments
\n\tSupport budget planning, vendor evaluation and contract\/PO management activities<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or equivalent
\n\tMaster\u2019s degree is an advantage<\/p>\n
Experience and Skills<\/p>\n
\tStrong proficiency in IP networking technologies
\n\tExperience producing professional HLDs and LLDs
\n\tStrong understanding of capacity planning and traffic engineering
\n\tExperience with NMS\/EMS\/OSS\/BSS tools and automation
\n\tStrong documentation and analytical skills
\n\tAbility to guide engineering teams during implementation<\/p>\n
