Inbound Supply Chain Strategy<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement an inbound supply chain strategy aligned with production plans, business growth, and cost objectives.
\n\tEnsure raw material availability for all lines with zero production stoppages due to material shortages<\/p>\n
Procurement Management (Local & Imports)<\/p>\n
\tLead sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance management for all inbound materials.
\n\tManage local purchases and import procurement including forecasting, ordering, shipping timelines, and documentation.
\n\tDrive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and contract negotiations.<\/p>\n
Inventory Planning & Control<\/p>\n
\tEstablish optimal inventory levels (min\/max, safety stocks) based on demand, shelf life, and production plans.
\n\tEnsure accurate inventory records, batch traceability, and FIFO\/FEFO compliance, especially for temperature-sensitive and perishable materials.
\n\tMinimize obsolete, expired, and slow-moving inventory.<\/p>\n
Warehouse Management & Receiving<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all inbound materials are received, verified and posted accurately in the system against approved purchase orders.
\n\tEnforce standard receiving, off-loading, inspection and put-away procedures for raw and packaging materials.
\n\tEnsure correct storage, labelling, segregation and FEFO\/FIFO compliance for all inbound stock.
\n\tManage warehouse operations, resources and layout to support efficient, safe and compliant inbound handling.
\n\tDrive inbound warehouse productivity, space utilization and turnaround time improvements
\n\tEnsure correct\u00a0\u00a0storage conditions for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
\n\tEnsure timely and accurate dispensing of materials to production as per approved production schedules.<\/p>\n
Accountability \u2013 Pilferage, Supplier Deliveries & Quality Checks<\/p>\n
\tPrevent, detect and investigate pilferage, losses and inbound stock variances, and implement corrective actions.
\n\tValidate supplier deliveries against purchase orders, contracts and delivery documentation, and raise claims for discrepancies.
\n\tEnsure all inbound materials undergo required quality, food safety and regulatory checks before acceptance.
\n\tEnforce quarantine, rejection and release processes in collaboration with Quality Assurance.
\n\tMaintain inbound inventory accuracy, traceability (batch, expiry, COA) and audit readiness at all times.<\/p>\n
Imports & Logistics Coordination<\/p>\n
\tManage import planning including lead times, shipping schedules, clearing, and delivery to factory.
\n\tLiaise with clearing and forwarding agents to ensure timely clearance and compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
\n\tMonitor landed costs and optimize freight and logistics expenses.<\/p>\n
Quality, Compliance & Food Safety<\/p>\n
\tWork closely with QA to ensure all inbound materials meet quality, food safety, and regulatory standards.
\n\tEnsure compliance with statutory, customs, and internal audit requirements.
\n\tSupport traceability, recall readiness, and audit processes.<\/p>\n
Systems & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all procurement, inventory, and warehouse transactions are accurately captured in the ERP system (Dynamics 365).
\n\tGenerate and analyze inbound supply chain reports including stock cover, procurement spend, supplier performance, and inventory variances.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Collaboration<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with Production Planning to align material availability with production forecasts.
\n\tPartner with Finance on budgeting, working capital management, and cost controls.
\n\tSupport R&D\/NPD with timely sourcing of new ingredients and packaging.<\/p>\n
Operational Excellence<\/p>\n
\tDrive operational excellence across inbound procurement, warehousing, and inventory management to ensure uninterrupted production and cost efficiency.
\n\tEnsure end-to-end cold chain and storage integrity, maintaining strict temperature, quality, and food safety standards for all raw and packaging materials.
\n\tImplement and enforce standardized SOPs, ERP discipline, and data-driven controls to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste, losses, and expiries.
\n\tLead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow, storage utilization, and responsiveness to production requirements.<\/p>\n
Team Leadership & Development<\/p>\n
\tLead, coach, and develop the inbound supply chain team to achieve high performance and accountability.
\n\tDefine clear roles, KPIs, and performance expectations.
\n\tPartner with HR on recruitment, training, and succession planning.<\/p>\n

\tStrong understanding of FMCG inbound supply chains, especially food manufacturing

Academic \/ Professional Background<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Finance , Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Operations, or a related field
\n\tProfessional certification (CPA, CIPS, CSCP, or equivalent) is an added advantage<\/p>\n
Work experience<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 6\u20138 years\u2019 experience in Supply Chain \/ Procurement roles within FMCG or food manufacturing
\n\tProven experience managing local and import procurement
\n\tExperience handling temperature-sensitive and perishable raw materials is an advantage<\/p>\n
