Roles and responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Financial Management & Reporting:<\/p>\n
\tRecord and reconcile all financial transactions in line with organizational policies and accounting standards.\u00a0
\n\tSupport and or prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and support budget variance analysis.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as required.\u00a0
\n\tSupport in the preparation of year-end financial statements and audits.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Accounts Payable & Receivable:<\/p>\n
\tProcess vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and other disbursements accurately and on time.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor receivables, follow up on outstanding invoices, and support donor reporting and grant tracking.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain proper documentation and coding of transactions for audit readiness.\u00a0
\n\tManage the Boya expense system according to departmental policies and procedures.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Budgeting & Forecasting:<\/p>\n
\tSupport the development of annual budgets and assist teams with budget monitoring.\u00a0
\n\tHelp track project-level spending to ensure alignment with grant agreements and internal allocations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Compliance & Controls:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with local tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.\u00a0
\n\tSupport the implementation and monitoring of internal controls across all finance functions.\u00a0
\n\tAssist with payroll processing and related tax filings.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Process Improvement & Collaboration:<\/p>\n
\tIdentify opportunities to streamline finance systems and processes for improved efficiency.\u00a0
\n\tCollaborate with program, operations, and development teams to ensure financial accuracy and responsiveness to team needs.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Requirements:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\u00a0
\n\tCPA K preferred.\u00a0
\n\tMinimum 4 years of accounting experience, ideally in a nonprofit or project-based environment.\u00a0
\n\tProficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Excel.\u00a0
\n\tStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.\u00a0
\n\tExperience working with donor-funded projects or grants is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
