The Project Planner will be responsible for crafting, overseeing, and managing project schedules and budgets, ensuring that Tatu City\u2019s residential and mixed-use construction projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role calls for dynamic collaboration with site teams, contractors, and project managers to guarantee alignment with the company’s objectives and standards.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and\/or MS Project, including sequencing of construction activities for residential and infrastructure projects.
\n\tMonitor daily and weekly site progress, verify subcontractor performance, and identify schedule variances against the baseline plan.
\n\tPrepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections specific to ongoing developments.
\n\tReview and validate subcontractor claims, interim payment applications, and variations for accuracy and compliance.
\n\tTrack materials, manpower, and equipment utilization to ensure alignment with project timelines and resources.
\n\tPrepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for management and key stakeholders.
\n\tMaintain and update project risk registers, highlighting potential schedule or cost risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
\n\tSupport contract administration by assessing time and cost impacts of design or scope changes.
\n\tEnsure compliance with company procedures, project governance standards, and local regulatory requirements.
\n\tCoordinate with site engineers, quantity surveyors, procurement, and project managers to maintain accurate reporting and communication across teams.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
\n\t4 years of relevant experience in project controls, preferably in residential, mixed-use, or infrastructure developments.
\n\tStrong understanding of construction sequencing and workflows for residential projects (structural works, finishes, MEP, and handover phases).
\n\tProficiency in\u00a0Primavera P6,\u00a0MS Project, and\u00a0Microsoft Excel; knowledge of\u00a0Power BI\u00a0is an added advantage.
\n\tExperience in cost control, budgeting, and earned value management.
\n\tFamiliarity with Kenyan construction codes, approval processes, and local authority regulations.
\n\tExcellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.
\n\tProven ability to work effectively under pressure and within multidisciplinary project teams.<\/p>\n
