The NOC Tier 3 Engineer maintains SLAs while collaborating closely with cross\u2011functional teams and external vendors.<\/p>\n<p>Working Conditions<\/p>\n<p>\tShift-based role supporting 24\/7 operations.<br \/>\n\tOn-call availability may be required.<br \/>\n\tOffice-based position with potential remote work options.<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>\t3+ years of experience in Network Operations or NOC environments.<br \/>\n\tProven experience handling incident management and escalations.<br \/>\n\tExperience coordinating with field technicians and dispatch operations.<\/p>\n<p>Certifications (Preferred)<\/p>\n<p>\tCCNA, CCNP<br \/>\n\tRuckus Certified, Aruba Certified, Meraki Certified<br \/>\n\tCompTIA Network+, CWNA, Fortinet NSE, or similar networking certifications<\/p>\n<p>Soft Skills<\/p>\n<p>\tStrong communication and problem-solving skills.<br \/>\n\tAbility to remain calm and effective during critical incidents.<br \/>\n\tTeam collaboration and mentoring capabilities.<br \/>\n\tStrong time management and prioritization skills.<\/p>\n<p>Education<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Network Monitoring &amp; Performance<\/p>\n<p>\tMonitor infrastructure using SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, and proprietary monitoring systems such as Cosmos.<br \/>\n\tAnalyze performance trends including bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, and KPIs.<br \/>\n\tMaintain monitoring thresholds, alerting policies, and SLA metrics.<\/p>\n<p>Incident &amp; Problem Management<\/p>\n<p>\tRespond to alerts and outages within defined SLA timeframes.<br \/>\n\tPerform triage, root cause diagnosis, and manage the full incident lifecycle.<br \/>\n\tConduct root cause analysis (RCA) and document lessons learned.<br \/>\n\tTrack recurring issues and recommend preventive actions.<\/p>\n<p>Escalation Management<\/p>\n<p>\tAct as the primary escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.<br \/>\n\tEscalate complex issues to Tier 4 engineers and specialized teams when required.<br \/>\n\tCoordinate with vendors and facilitate bridge calls during major incidents.<br \/>\n\tManage communication among technical teams, management, and stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Network Operations &amp; Maintenance<\/p>\n<p>\tExecute firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.<br \/>\n\tConfigure and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.<br \/>\n\tImplement VLANs, access control policies, and VPN connections.<br \/>\n\tPerform change management activities and support scheduled maintenance windows.<\/p>\n<p>Troubleshooting &amp; Support<\/p>\n<p>\tResolve issues across LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and wireless networks.<br \/>\n\tTroubleshoot routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP).<br \/>\n\tAnalyze network traffic using Wireshark and tcpdump.<br \/>\n\tAddress DNS, DHCP, firewall, NAT, and VoIP-related issues.<br \/>\n\tHandle SSID requests, conference room connectivity issues, and other special requests.<\/p>\n<p>Field Technician Coordination &amp; Dispatch<\/p>\n<p>\tCoordinate and dispatch field technicians for:<br \/>\n\tProperty Management System (PMS) connectivity and troubleshooting<br \/>\n\tWi-Fi site surveys, coverage analysis, and wireless optimization<br \/>\n\tThird-party vendor support including VoIP, video, and conference room technology<br \/>\n\tSupport on-site troubleshooting and vendor escalations.<\/p>\n<p>Documentation &amp; Collaboration<\/p>\n<p>\tMaintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and SOPs.<br \/>\n\tCreate post-incident reports and RCA documentation.<br \/>\n\tParticipate in capacity planning and continuous improvement initiatives.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with Engineering, Logistics, Equipment teams, and third-party vendors as new technologies are integrated into the production network.<\/p>\n<p>Apply Through:<\/p>\n<p>www.linkedin.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com","_company_name":"Solvo Global","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"Solvo is changing how North American companies connect with talented, nearshore employees, along with the latest AI-powered tools.
