KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tCEO Support
\n\tSupport the CEO in managing projects (some assigned, others proposed by the CoS) \u2013 tgive a flavour of these projects, we want technology tstreamline and optimize our human resource costs, wishing tleverage AI for clinical decision making, and launching a new ERP thelp plug gaps in our existing HMIS, timprove patient journeys, and alsimprove margins
\n\tCentral point of communication for the CEO, internally and externally; keep the CEO informed and help anticipate key issues affecting the business holistically
\n\tPrepare all materials and logistics for board meetings, and other corporate annual meetings of key constituents
\n\tManage and prioritize workflows tensure that meeting reports, minutes, correspondence and matters for attention are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
\n\tCoordination of teams
\n\tFacilitate communication and collaboration in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation among senior management including country and functional leadership
\n\tIdentify cross-functional challenges\/bottlenecks and facilitate communication and solutions
\n\tProvide strategic analysis and thought leadership on competitive landscape; keep up with competitive and industry trends
\n\tWork via influence and collaboration, with a cool and calm demeanour. While other leaders (often more tenured) will need tbe highly responsive tthe CoS, this person must operate with humility and mutual respect at all times
\n\tStrategic projects
\n\tHelp define the strategic vision for the organization and document business plans and initiatives; provide leadership tensure follow-through on strategic initiatives
\n\tPrioritize key initiatives tdrive maximum business, clinical, and team impact across our existing countries
\n\tProvide a strong voice and analytical\/strategic insight tinform decisions on new business offerings, entry intnew markets across Sub-Saharan Africa, etc.
\n\tPlay a critical role in high profile acquisitions and financing projects
\n\tCapacity building
\n\tImprove current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
\n\tHelp provide training support for various team members from assisting with modeling and analytics
\n\tServe as a role model for mentorship and knowledge sharing, both in day-to-day activities and in helping upgrade enterprise level systems and capabilities
\n\tSupervisory Responsibilities
\n\tThe CoS will largely be an individual contributor, sitting on the executive committee and reporting tthe CEO. That said, on a project basis other teams will report intthe CoS
\n\tAdditionally, we may build out a small team under the CoS including functions such as market analytics, marketing and communications, and IT (this is all TBC)
\n\tOver time, the CoS may alshave oversight for any administrative resources tsupport our executive team<\/p>\n
CANDIDATE PROFILE<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree required from top-tier university. MBA or Master\u2019s degree from a top-tier university is preferred (but not required)
\n\t3+ years\u2019 work experience \u2013 strong preference for someone with a management consulting background at a top-tier firm (e.g., Bain, BCG, McKinsey)
\n\tStrong analytical skills required (proficient in modeling and Excel)
\n\tStrong presentation and written communication skills required (proficient in PowerPoint and Word)
\n\tAbility tsynthesize large quantities of information and distil intkey action points
\n\tSelf-starter \u2013 ability twork in a self-directed way while keeping everyone informed

JACARANDA'S HISTORY Jacaranda Maternity started with a vision of bringing high-quality, affordable maternal healthcare to women in Nairobi. We began in 2011 as a mobile clinic, offeing antenatal services to women along Thika Road in Nairobi. As we expanded our services to include delivery, we opened our first stand-alone clinic in Ruiru in 2012 to supplement our mobile clinic services. As demand for our services increased, we had to expand our space. We moved to our current Kahawa West clinic in 2014. Since this move, we have been able to expand our offerings to include more comprehensive maternal health, pediatric health, and general consultation services. Since our founding, we have conducted over 4,500 deliveries and 82,000 outpatient visits and have had excellent outcomes. In this time, we have had zero maternal deaths, a 0.04% stillborn rate, and 66% fewer maternal complications than our competitor hospitals.
