We are seeking a\u00a0Head of Security Training Programmes\u00a0to join our Global Safety and Security Team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and delivery of security training courses, oversee the certification of trainers, and manage induction and development programmes for security managers. You will also support other training initiatives across our global operations.<\/p>\n
A significant part of this role involves international travel to Plan International offices to deliver training and build capacity within local security functions. You will work closely with Regional and Country Management Teams, providing expert guidance and promoting a positive, inclusive security culture aligned with our\u00a0Security for All\u00a0initiative.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDesign and deliver security training courses and workshops globally.
\n\tDevelop complex and technical training materials (e.g., first aid, trauma response, crisis management).
\n\tCertify trainers and manage induction programmes for security managers.
\n\tSupport regional and country teams in strengthening local security capabilities.
\n\tPromote inclusive and intersectional approaches to security risk management.
\n\tEncourage incident reporting and ensure lessons learned are integrated into future operations.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
\tSkilled in developing and providing technical training content.
\n\tDeep understanding of security risk management and assessment.
\n\tExperience working in high-risk environments, including conflict-affected areas.
\n\tBackground in international NGOs and leading diverse, remote teams.
\n\tStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships under pressure.
\n\tConfident in challenging constructively at all levels.
\n\tHighly organised, able to prioritise and deliver under pressure.
\n\tProficient in standard IT tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
\n\tFluent in written and spoken English, with French or Spanish being desirable.<\/p>\n
