Job Description<\/p>\n
The Lead QA\/QC is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality assurance and quality control systems to ensure products, processes, and operations comply with internal standards, customer requirements, and Kenya government regulatory compliances including KEBS and other statutory bodies. The role ensures consistent product quality, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement across the organization.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tEstablish, implement, and maintain QA\/QC policies, SOPs, and quality standards
\n\tEnsure compliance with KEBS, applicable Kenyan regulations, and certification requirements
\n\tCoordinate product testing, certification, inspections, and approvals with KEBS and relevant authorities
\n\tMonitor quality of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods
\n\tLead internal and external audits and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
\n\tInvestigate quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints
\n\tTrain and supervise QA\/QC teams on quality systems, compliance, and best practices
\n\tDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and regulatory compliance
\n\tLiaise with production, procurement, and management to ensure consistent quality standards<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Education:<\/p>\n
\t\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in Food Science, Animal Nutrition, Chemistry, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related field
\n\t\u00a0Professional certifications in ISO, HACCP, GMP, or Quality Management Systems will be an added advantage<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\t\u00a0Minimum 5\u20138 years of experience in QA\/QC within manufacturing, food, animal feed or FMCG Industries\u00a0
\n\tProven experience handling KEBS compliance, inspections, product certification, and Audits
\n\tStrong knowledge of Kenyan regulatory standards, quality systems, and audit Process\u00a0
\n\tPrior experience in leading QA\/QC teams and managing cross-functional quality initiatives<\/p>\n
