Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tReporting to the Credit Manager, the job holder will be responsible for among others, supporting the credit function by ensuring proper documentation, processing, monitoring, and administration of credit facilities in line with policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.<\/p>\n
Key Tasks and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Loan Processing & Appraisal Support<\/p>\n
\tReceive and review loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
\n\tVerify member eligibility, savings, guarantors, and loan qualification criteria.
\n\tConfirm loan approvals comply with SACCO credit policy and delegated authority.<\/p>\n
Credit Documentation & Securities<\/p>\n
\tPrepare loan contracts and ensure proper execution by members and guarantors.
\n\tEnsure collateral\/security documentation is complete and properly registered where applicable.
\n\tMaintain safe custody of loan security documents, collaterals and collateral register.
\n\tTrack insurance covers secured loans (e.g., motor vehicle, property, loan protection).<\/p>\n
Loan Administration & Disbursement<\/p>\n
\tProcess loan disbursements as per approved terms and conditions.
\n\tUpdate and maintain accurate member loan records in the system.
\n\tMonitor loan balances, repayment schedules, and maturity dates.
\n\tEnsure compliance with loan conditions before and after disbursement.<\/p>\n
Credit Monitoring & Recovery Support<\/p>\n
\tGenerates credit reports for management review.
\n\tSupport loan recovery and restructuring processes where necessary.
\n\tEnsuring there is proper loan categorization and classification.<\/p>\n
Compliance & Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all loan files meet internal audit and regulatory standards (e.g., SASRA requirements).
\n\tConfirm compliance with KYC, AML, and SACCO credit policy.
\n\tIdentify documentation gaps and follow up for rectification.
\n\tSubmits credit information to the licensed Credit Reference Bureaus.
\n\tAssist during internal and external audits.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Member Service & Coordination<\/p>\n
\tRespond to member inquiries regarding loan status, and collaterals.
\n\tLiaise with Credit Officers, Finance, and Member Services teams.
\n\tEducate members on loan products, requirements, and repayment obligat<\/p>\n
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
\nAcademic Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in finance, Banking, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
\n\tProfessional qualification (CPA, ACCA, Credit Certification) is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tSix (6) years relevant experience<\/p>\n
